Is GT350 a good and suitable car for every day driving?
A few years back I bought a Z06 and very soon I realized this car's suspension isn't meant for DD and had to buy another car for DD.
Is it fair to categories this car more of a "Track" car than every day "Street" car?

Secondly, when it comes to low-end TQ compared to Mustang GT for street driving, do you feel a big difference between a GT and GT350?

Thank you in advance!

1. YES! It's a better daily driver than my 370Z.
2. If you have the magna ride option I'd say it's both. Could very well apply if you don't have the magna ride too, but I haven't experienced that yet.
3. No idea, don't have a Mustang GT. I can compare it to our Jeep SRT and can say that the Jeep's low-end TQ is very noticeable compared to the GT350, but that doesn't really matter to me. The way the GT350 is setup makes it a perfect daily driver for me.

Thanks Chris;
Is the Magna Ride part of the Track Package? If yes, I'm considering only the Base model and no packages.

Base model doesn't have MagnaRide. Only Tech and Track Pack have it. However, Base owners say that the suspension is very very smooth even without MagnaRide.

The Magneride truly makes it easy to be both. I haven't driven a base without it, so it's hard to say how that is. It's missing a little torque down low compared to the GT, but not enough to ever complain about. The way it builds power, revs so high and sounds more than make up for it.

Magnaride is included with either the Tech or Track package. The base car does not have Magneride

I daily drive the Base GT350 - much better daily driver than my Boss 302... Haven't owned a GT. Frankly, it's a great DD - get it!

Personally, I think its an awesome daily driver. I have a 2016 Track Pack, and the only reason I'm not driving it right now is because of that white stuff that continues to fall from the sky :D.

Seriously, if I lived where you live (south Florida), I would drive it every day. Once you drive this thing, you never want to put it away or drive something else. I can't tell you how much I miss driving it right now - Spring will NOT come soon enough.

Enjoy! :ford:

While chassis dynos don't read lower rpm that well, it looks like the GT350 is as good/as bad as the normal mustang GT below 3,500. Which is still a ton more than say my v8 explorer's 4.6L 2v, and that moves around town just fine. At motorsports events there is 0 need to be below 4K rpm so, it doesn't matter there either.

I have a base and so far I have no issues daily driving it except for the expected winter traction related issues

It's a great daily driver for Florida.

The low end torque is comparable to a GT. First gear is a lot taller than the first gear in a GT, though.
