Some of you have requested to see the results of my R spoiler installation, others have had questions about the details. Here is what I have to show about the install and how I addressed a few of the issues, I have to apologize for the lack of pics.
After removal of the Tech Pack spoiler there will be a mounting hole exposed on each side and 3 in the middle of the trunk lid.

This aftermarket wing has 4 bolt holes on each side, only 1 comes close to the factory hole. I had to drill 3 others on each side for mounting. I capped the inner surface access holes with plastic caps.

For the outside hole I had to make a nylon adapter to clamp on the angle surface.
There is plenty of room for this between the lid and the trunk ledge.

To cover the 3 holes in the center, I decided to make a brake light bar. I started with a solid price of nylon and machined it to mount the LED light.

Here is the finished top of the light bar.

On the bottom I added an adhesive silicone film for a gasket.

Here is what the finished project looks like with the light bar mounted.

Here is a view from the rear, the light bar is brighter than any of the other brake lights on the car. That worked out well.

You've got a lot of ingenuity there and I applaud that! But definitely not my cup of tea. Really sells me on going the Track pack spoiler route.

Spoiler is nice but differs too much vs the real R spoiler and sits too far back.

That third brake light just seems like it doesn't belong. Id think some plugs or caps would look better and maybe have them color matched.

The back window looks pretty cool, never seen that before.

The effort you put in to this is commendable.

But I can't help but feeling it doesn't look quite right.

Could you somehow use the center section of the tech spoiler cut to fit in between the ends of the R spoiler?

You did a lot of work great job. You should feel proud. You are making it your own and that I think is what a Mustang is all about. You can add your own personal touches to make it just a little different then every others persons.

This is the HCM Carbon spoiler, they advertise on Ebay. Not sure if it is produced in China or the US, but the quality and fit is very good for what it cost me. I figure it is worth the experiment and I can put things back to factory any time I decide that is necessary.

Thanks for the thought, I agree 100%, my goal is to represent the true nature of this car and put my signature on the presentation. After I come back from the graphics shop tomorrow, I think I'll be finished with any exterior mods. All my vehicles are that way, unique and rewarding.
Now I just have to wait and see how all of this works on the track this spring.

Does your car not have a 3rd brake light mounted inside at the top of the rear glass? If so, the brake light you created would not be needed. Just curious why you decided to make it

Needed something to cover the 3 holes left from the Tech spoiler, why not add something that makes the car safer. I didn't want to put plugs in the holes.
My other option is to pick up a trunk hood with no holes, paint it and replace this one. I may consider that down the road.

The wing looks really good but man that brake light looks cheap on there:( I think it really takes away from that beautiful ass.

Pretty cool work. Nothing like the feeling when a plan comes together. Looks great!

Good looking work.
Do you have any side shots showing the car with the spoiler and louvers?
