The summers, yeah. But the stock 235/50R18 A/S are terrible. The P-Zeros on our cars are a far better tire than the POS GoodYear Eagle F1s that were on my GT500, by a long shot....
Yeah, that's what it is. You can really, really expose how low grip they are at an autocross. The stock 235/50R18's are ok when it's warm and dry, but not so great when its cold and wet, they break loose easily - but then again they're on the narrow side, have to deal with a lot of power, and are built to a certain price point. It is what it is.
My 235 Nero zero tires wore out sooner than I thought they should have. I replaced them with 235/50/18 Goodyear g force comp 2 summer tires and they made the car feel much much better. They just make a lot of road noise. Mostly when slowing down and my exhaust is quiet. I don't mind the noise at all. I've never had PSS but I can only imagine they would be even better. I really think a wider rim and tire would be the best bang for your buck thing to do to a base GT. PP owners complain about wider summer pirrelis so you know the skinny a/s tires have to be replaced.Would the 235/50-18 Michelin Pilot Super Sport be much of an upgrade over the stock 18inch P-zeros?
Would the 245/50-18 fit?
I'm just wondering if I should add a couple of these tires to my rear wheels or just purchase a wider wheels first that would fit a 255 or 265 wide tire.
Any opinion would be appreciated.
Thank you!

I also tried some continental extreme contact DW in 255/45/18 on the base rim. They had great straight line traction but made me nervous when going around corners so I returned them. I could feel the sidewall flex and that was not good. The 18x8 rims are just very limiting. The only thing happy with a 235/50/18 tire will be your wallet.I appreciate the response.
I think you're right and I just need to save up for some 19 inch and 9.5's for this summer.
Thanks again!

There are two kinds of pzeros that are on the 2015 mustang. If you have the performance pack, you get summer only p-zeros. If you don't then you have p-zero nero all seasons, which is what the OP is shit talking. The PP p-zero's aren't horrible, though they are not the very best tire. And actually according to TireRack, Ford believes the P - Zeros are best tire for this car...Even after losing in the H2H.
Randy was most likely paid to say the P-Zeros are good.
