If your dealer is using Vista it will no doubt be about 2 weeks out of date and calculating delivery based on the 12 weeks from production formula
Sure that's probably right - however, after 12 months I'm not expecting anything other than the worst case by now...

You the same guy from PH that ordered from Basingstoke davidb?;)
Indeed, yes - ordered the day after yours, and looks like it will be delivered 4 months later...

Ouch. Any idea why? What spec is yours again?

How have you found the dealer so far as when I spoke to him (Stuart) he seemed pretty unimpressed with the way customers have been treated by Ford although I think that stemmed from him now having to deal with the fallout! :D

I have to say, going on posters on here and both PH and the timescales and issues involved for all of us, and for all my bitching this past year, I consider myself to have been EXTREMELY lucky in getting my car when I did! :amen:

If you want a quick go in one (as a passenger! :p) then give me a shout since you're in my area. Got the FRPP Sport Catback on if you were having trouble deciding on an exhaust. ;)

Checked with my dealer this weekend and the delivery date is showing as the 4th Apr - almost exactly 12 weeks for the build date. Sounds like there's not really any improvement to the shipping times...
Apparently not in your case, but the dealer will just count 12 weeks on wards and claim that, he really doesn't have a clue and has the same information as you can get from other well informed users on the forums.

Ruby red V8 manual fastback with the 3 options added, nothing unusual! It would appear despite prompts and requests by me that they didn't actually place the order anywhere close to the US order system opening... Compounded by Karen saying in October that the car was at gate release stage, so I assumed all was well at that point. Turns out that was incorrect, as well as a further communication about it being locked in plant in Dec... It does appear it is actually built now so getting somewhere.

Agree about the current team at the dealership, they have been good (we're actually back with Basingstoke now as well) - just unfortunate that they've been left a complete mess by the previous 4 salesmen we've had to deal with...

Perhaps, but a lot is being based on comments from Ford UK, who in reality are running a business, and therefore a) want to sell cancelled orders, and b) ensure new buyers are not put off by the lead times early purchasers have experienced (worth noting that I knew from the beginning to expect a 12 month wait, so would have been fine with that if it had happened...).

Very little appears to have actually been done to help those ordered early and are still waiting for cars - and why would they, they've got deposits in the bank, and know that if we cancel now they will just sell the car for ÂŁ1500 more quite easily, given there are still many people wanting these cars. Perhaps that's an overly cynical view...

No, i understand your views mate. Ford US will hold the information until your car is on a ship, some people have seen 8 weeks, my dealership still says that my car will come Sept 2016, whereas i've had contradicting information from Karen who's said it'll be built 'early jan' which to me, disappears tomorrow :lol::lol:

That pretty much sums up the past 12 months, a load of completely different info, and no idea what is actually correct unfortunately! I'm looking on the bright side now anyway, I'll get a '16 plate and avoid having to drive it on freezing/salted roads quite so much :)

Given that the batch mine was in last week seems to have mainly been orders from around Q1 2015, I would think it's pretty unlikely they'll clear the backlog enough to reach Aug orders before the end of Jan, let alone "early"! Really hope I'm wrong though, and they start churning them out a bit quicker for you!

Yeah, I don't trust my dealer one bit, nor will I, He's aware i'm exclusivley only talking to Karen now as I trust her.

Ah, different backlogs, I'm EB, I was originally meant to be in the November 11th batch, a few blokes who were also in this batch had their cars built last week, expectant that mine tags up this week however who knows, Karen's eluded to the fact my car 'might not be moving' (It's hardly a hard spec to do )

Ah, true, last week's were all V8s! Fingers crossed that at some point they can build the RHD batches at the same rate the regular LHD ones seem to come out the plant, it would clear all queues pretty quickly.

Were they? From what I could see they were all V8's, but no way of checking is there?

Also V8's are selling way way way more than the EBs, it was like a 75/25% split the last time I looked, but with less mustang fanatics now buying i'd guess that it's closer to the 65/35 mark now, and more 'Gas conscious daily drivers buying'

Not sure know you mention it, I thought the few of us posting here were all V8s but that might be my dodgy memory (and the batch could be mixed anyway...).

I suspect you're right, there will be more EBs now, although it will be interesting to see what real life mpg figures people report back over an extended period of time. Depends how and where you're driving, but I think there will be less of a difference in reality than the official figures suggest - 300hp turbo 4s are not generally renowned for economy in other cars, and unstressed large engines can be surprisingly good in the right circumstances. And terrible in others of course ;)

From forums they were all V8s last week, granted there's very few active EB owners hanging around the forums anyway!

I hope there's a couple of EBs being pushed through this week, i'm still hopefull of a March deliery - as far fetched as that is.... GET IT ON A BL00DY PLANE!

Ah, we'll see, most EB owners are reporting decent MPG figures at the moment. Granted this is a smaller twin scroll turbo rather than a big turbo 4 single scroll, but who knows really, american brothers over the pond are still reporting better mpg on the EB, but this could be down to any number of things...

A plane would be great :) Just getting the thing on a ship now would do for me though!
