Took my car to an exhaust place today,
Got underneath to have a butchers,
I recon they must employee Stevie Wonder to do the work.
There was more black stuff on the exhaust then anywhere else. :frusty:

Think somebody else mentioned this... Mind you - when do you ever see the underbody of your car?

Appologies for being totally dumb on this topic, but what is the issue with it, what does the spray do etc etc etc? Just so i can understand :)

Looks like I've found something else to worry about.

Know nothing about under-seal, thought nobody had to worry about this these days as its done at factory (not haphazardly by the dock-side, somewhere). Is it something we should get done properly do you think? Haven't got the facilities to do myself (or know what I'm doing). Are there any companies that do this?

It's a substance put on the underside of the car to help prevent rusting.

So why does it matter if it's on the exhaust? Will it harm the exhaust metal?

No, but if it's on the exhaust, it's not on the body underneath the exhaust.

Anyone know what the body rust warranty is?

If it's long enough, it's Ford's problem, not ours

I plan on taking mine here

http://www.jrclassics.co.uk/index.html

He has done a few of mine, and a few hundred quid well spent if you plan on keeping your car.

Any one know if the steel is galvanised on the s550? I would hope so in 2016, but I havent seen it stated anywhere.

Ive already posted on "mods" but if you intend keeping your car for a long time then invest in underbody protection !!
Our cars were undersealed in Belgium, check for yourselves it's not very well executed !!!
Mine has now had "stoneguard" then wax oil !!!

Looks good, however define "long time". This is a new car and I struggle to accept it can be any worse than other new cars. People do not generally do this when they buy a new car.
