All dealers in VA/MD/PA are not budging at $10,000 over sticker. I've had numerous conversations that all hit a wall. Some won't even budge off of +$10,000 over sticker as they say that they have more than $10k over in the car. I guess the only option is to wait until the market calms down. I am willing, although reluctantly, to pay $4-5k over just to get it as a birthday present to myself. Oh well. Frustrating.

If they purchased the car from another dealer at $10k over, eventually they're going to be the one stuck holding the bag when prices fall down to sticker levels. Just have to let them live and learn.

+1. At this point I bet quite a few dealers are going to loose their ass on the gamble they took buying other allocations at a markup. Unfortunately I think those cars will sit in the show room unsold for months before the dealers are ready to eat the loss.

If it's worth it, you might try a few Atlanta area dealers. I got mine for $5k over back on 12/7. Not sure if there are allocations still available though but I can share the names with you. There were two dealerships that I found willing to work on the price.

Good luck to you. May be better off trying to order a 17, but I believe those will still come with ADM. Hopefully not 10K.

I suspect those cars the dealers bought from other dealers will sell. Maybe not as fast as they want, but this car is still relatively new to the general public. As soon as it is really out there and in the streets the disposable incomes will come out and snag them.

The other thing is go out of the east coast. Try middle America. Then you get a road trip for your birthday.

Just can't get enuff!
I turned away my original order ('16 TP) which was 5k over and there was a list already waiting to jump on it with a minimum of 10k over... it ended up selling for 15k over. Needless to say, so many want this car and are willing to pay up.

Same here. Dealer easily refunded my deposit for a $10K ADM '16 TP as they already had deposits on wait list. That was back in Aug.

Check up in PA they seem to be a little easier to deal with than the dealers around here. I pass by KROOKS (I mean KOONS) and they have 3 sitting on the lot for 20K over and they have been there for weeks. I helped one guy on here get one for under 5K down towards Culpeper but that was the best deal local that I found in my searching. I'm still looking for an R so if I find any I'll send them your way.

It's tougher to find a good price now that the reviews are out and some of the magazines are raving about the car. If 2017 doesn't see a $5k or more price hike, maybe there will be an opportunity to get one cheaper in the future. Or just wait a couple years and buy a gently used model. There also may be something even better offered by Ford in 2-5 years that if you jump fast enough you could get in line for that.

Now is the time to deal, as the weather gets better and the allocations move out in the calendar, I predict there will be more demand than there is at the moment. Probably the best time for a long while to find a GT350 closer to MSRP, wait until fall to see what happens.

In search of a R
I am in the same boat, I probably contacted 50+ dealers couple months ago and I am based in VA. Going start trying again to secure an unsold 16 or secure a 17.

Edit -- Funny thing couple months prior to this search most of these dealers were selling the GT350 at MSRP. I was passing at the time as I was looking for an R. Still would prefer an R but I would take a GT350 as well.

I was in the same boat, and am also in Northern VA. Once I knew the specs I wanted, and realized no dealer in our area would budge below $20k ADM, I resigned myself to searching all over the country. First Richmond...$10k firm. Nope. Then thought I had a willing dealer in San Diego, but didn't pan out.

Got lucky with a dealer in Detroit. Even he was getting offers from wholesale buyers at $9k over, but my rep and the owner really wanted to sell the car to an enthusiast, even if it meant they didn't make quite as much money on the deal.
