2016 gt350?

Hello, new member here shopping for a 2016 gt350 and have a question regarding pkg's.

Is there a way to tell if the vehicle has the magnetic suspension without the track pack?

Other question is whether or not the track pkg is worth it if you aren't planning to regularly track the car?

Track pack and tech pack cars both have the magneride, only base cars don't. Track pack is definitely worth it even if you aren't going to regularly track. If Nav or leather is important to you best to look for a 2017 so you can have the coolers and nav/leather

It will have a shock symbol on the steering wheel on the right side if it has magnaride.

The only cars without it are the 2016 base, which will have the recaro seats and a low spoiler.

if you like gizmos like touch screen, go with tech pack, both have magneride, except for base

I was not a believer in MagneRide until I felt it. Now I'm 100% convinced. There will be a time when coilover setups and such will no longer have a place in high performance.

I believe that is not true. I think 2016 Base and Tech pack cars did not have Magneride. Only Track packs and Rs. My buddie's 16 Tech does not have it. FWIW

It is a great option and it really works well. Awesome tech.

Edit: Was looking for this. I am wrong and you were right. Only bases did not have it.

If the car has the small spoiler (lip)with recaros it doesn't have magneride. All others have it

Was there an electronics pkg offered with the track pack as well?

I understand not the full tech pkg but I thought there was a pkg where you get the cluster of switches for the lc and exhaust.


Don't really need the nav and all that but do like the functionality of the switches vs doing it through the wheel controls.

Not for 2016. 2016 was tech (no coolers or recaros) or track (no Navi/switchs)

2017 the base model is essentially a 2016 track pack, then you can add the electronics on top of that if you wish

Tech does have oil cooler. No tranny or diff cooler.

You can get the SYNC 3 with Nav for the 2016 Track Pack through OEM Radio and it is super easy to install yourself in a couple of hours tops.
