Roush CAI install, car now sluggish

I just installed the Roush CAI last night and it feels a bit sluggish in the acceleration department. I know I'm not gaining much of anything but it seems slower on accel than stock. I only drove it around about 20 miles so far.
i checked all hoses/clamps. it seems like a pretty straight forward install. everything seems snug.
Does it take awhile for the computer to relearn and accel should at least be back to what the stock intake had??

I don't even know if its possible to put it in backwards.

i guess I did? i just pushed all cables back in until they clicked.

I mean did you put it in the right orientation?

I think the little temperature resistor should be facing the filter.

in the V6 install we don't have that same connection type. we just have 2 sensors and they're basically plugs.

Always a good idea to pull the battery and let it sit for a few. This will reset the parameters the ECU has learned for stock and will allow it to relearn with the CAI.

so should I disconnect the negative from the battery for say 30 mins?

also, do you guys torque the clamps down to the specified NM? or just tighten them very snug?

You should disconnect the battery step #1 before install.

Check all lines and re-install and startfrom scratch if necessary. Make sure MAF is flush.

so it's kinda funny how tightening the clamps even more can fix this problem.

i tightened up all the clamps even more and now my car zips off the start line just like it should!! thanks for all your responses.
