So the local performance shop here in San Jose quoted me like $900 for installing pro kit springs and an alignment... Ive never done this to a car, but that seems steep to me... They said it was 5 hours labor for the springs... :frusty:

And I know its a high end shop, but i would be a little sketched out taking it to a generic shop like a Midas of something...

I will do it for $899... heh

And yeah, you are getting boned. On a lift with air tools it is a 2-3 hour job, then add in an alignment for $100 or so.

Did this over the weekend. Had some struggles due to not having the right tools but once we did one corner the other 3 took about an hour (back is SUPER easy). Hardest part is getting the thing on jack stands, anyways, just beating a dead horse at this point, $250 - $300 plus alignment.

Let us get a prespective on this. Spring cost $400+, labor at $85/$100 per hour on independent suspension say 2 hours max = $175 and a for way alignment and stance balance (4 corners weigh the same) at 300 gets us to $875. I would think the shop is pretty close, Depends on the spring kit they are by itse supplying, On a 2013 the H&R springs installed is $400. No balance or alignment. Give it a go.

no, the 900 was simply for the labor installation and alignment... They said 5 hours labor plus an outrageous 240 for the alignment...

900? Don't care if they included alignment. Run far far away.

Everyone already said it was outrageous and I agree completely. An alignment shouldn't cost more than $100, maybe $150 if it's a "nicer shop. Spring install is 2-2.5 hours tops with a beer break. I've done full suspensions in 3 hours or less and that was coil overs, anti-sway bars, and LCA's! Run far far away from this place and never go back.
