Thanks for the advice Mike,
I have 275/40r19's squared now and there isn't any clearance issues for the height . I was more worried about the width rubbing on the shocks or wheel well.
someone else is saying too wide for the wheels as it's not the "measured rim width" but is in the safe rim width range.
If your wheel width falls into the range listed for the tire, you're OK. Measured rim width is the width of the rim that was used to come up with the tire width listed in the specs.

Got some pro photos from my track day at Road Atlanta.

Dont want to load the forum with a bunch, here's 2 good ones.

Next weekend is Atlanta Motorsports Park.

Finally saw another one out in the wild. I was too slow with the camera and missed a much better pic of him under the parking lot lighting. Beautiful FJG, looked factory new.

sigh... I want to do headers with this exact setup except with my x pipe and I'm worried it'll just be too damn loud.
yeah it was nascar loud in my opinion when I did LTH with an h pipe... LTH and stock exhaust or stock headers and x/h pipe are the best sounding imo

And my offset being 40 on the stock Mach front wheels won't be an issue right?

Thats the part that’s hard to predict. Offset is OK for the stock 255’s but your 285’s will be 15 mm closer to the strut.

glad to be driving her. I have seen 0
Mach 1s for a while now, I guess they have become garage princesses for the most part. Once I hit 40k I will get another daily so she stays looking sharp ;)

IDK if the attached will instill confidence, or sew doubt.

2022, M1, HP. On the front, I have a 19x10, +35, LMR wheel with a 285 Michelin.

In one picture, you'll notice the tire flash is just brushing past the strut., firm enough to keep it clean.

In the second photo, the flash measures 15 mm.

I'll make an assumption the flash-to-strut brush is worth 5mm. Let's say you're moving in with a +40. If my assumption is correct, that'd leave about 10mm for tire flex and alignment changes.

Add a set of LTH and it becomes heavenly. Love the steeda H pipe, LTH, factory active exhaust set up on my M1. It provides the full spectrum from good neighbor in quiet mode to all out screamer in track mode. I typically use sport mode unless I have the wife in the car.
Not to mention the amazing cold starts now :like:

It'll be borderline, I wouldn't do it. Plus it just feels weird to put 30 mm wider tyre on the same rim that has 255's by standard. I'd go with 275/35. Then again on other cars I couldn't stick my little finger between tyre and shock absorber and it drove fine. I put 285/35 on the HP's 10.5" ET24 and they're great there :)

Did my first string alignment after installing the STEEDA goodies. Turned out ok but I’ll have to fine tune it some more. Will certainly be easier after doing it the first time and now that the settings are pretty damn close. And very satisfied with the dual rate springs
