No codes stored anywhere in the ecu? Almost sounds like the cams aren’t moving.
Ok so I ran my OBD2 to see if it brings up anything.
this is what it showed…..

Just got home from a quick run and the engine light is now on!!
Ran the OBD again and I’m now getting P0420 and P0430 codes meaning the exhaust HASN’T been tuned properly to the engine!!

car goes in today for a new tune….hopefully it fixes my problem 🤞🏻

they probably turned off the downstream o2's, but kept the code alive.
aftermarket CATS ?

Listen, these thing really start to cook at 5500rpm. If you are only running out to 6000, you are missing a bunch of horsepower/kwh...so until you figure that out, those numbers are going to be low. Shifting this car below 6000rpm is the issue right now. Everything else is related to that problem.

UPDATE - pulled the traction control fuse out an it now pulls past 6k!
So far made 280rwkw at 6480…..time for a revision and then I’ll be asking it pulls to 7k!!

Ok so I recently had a Injen CAI, full x-force headers to tips and tune done on my 2019/20 manual mustang gt.
to say that I very disappointed in the result is an understatement!!!

From what I’ve read a stock manual mustang gt should have about 272rwkw.

mine in stock form (albeit with the CAI installed) only ran 234rwkw?!

I then had the full x-force system installed and dyno tuned (roller not hub) and it only ran 256rwkw with peak power at 5950 before completely running out of steam at 6k!!!

what the frick is wrong?!?!

Can anyone help me out??
My 2020 Mustang GT is stock and the dynamometer measured 418hp (311 kW) at the rear tires.
You're getting 256 kW with a modified car? "What the frick?" indeed.

I imagine the engine codes are most of the problem.

It might also make a difference what gear you're using for the test. 🤔
Since 4th gear is the 1:1 ratio, it's supposedly the most efficient at transmitting power.
In 4th gear my car thought it was going ~150mph at 6500rpm, so the governor cut in and cut off the power graph before it was done climbing.

3rd gear let the engine rev out to redline, but also got me a lot less power.
I can't tell how much of the power deficit is due to loss of efficiency, or the engine not being loaded as much, or computer having to learn what we want it from it.

And just to be clear, you guys only get the 420 HP version of this car correct? (310kw)
Okay, that would also explain a lot. 😅
EDIT: If it was true, and we've established that it isn't.

For whatever reason mine in stock form was about 30rwkw less that what I was expecting compared to advertised/expected stock numbers….but after the tune my Shaft HP peaked at 500 at just over 7000rpm for a rwhp of 400…..while I was hoping for more the difference is night and day….waaaaaay more responsive!!

green cats or whatever are prone to failure. You don't want that. I'd toss em . Unless the land of OZ only requires a visual (like where I am), then gut em.
