Ok so I recently had a Injen CAI, full x-force headers to tips and tune done on my 2019/20 manual mustang gt.
to say that I very disappointed in the result is an understatement!!!

From what I’ve read a stock manual mustang gt should have about 272rwkw.

mine in stock form (albeit with the CAI installed) only ran 234rwkw?!

I then had the full x-force system installed and dyno tuned (roller not hub) and it only ran 256rwkw with peak power at 5950 before completely running out of steam at 6k!!!

what the frick is wrong?!?!

Can anyone help me out??

That’s a good question….i went through EuroTorque here in Adelaide and I thought they were using LM Tuners from WA but instead they used another tuner I’ve never heard of that apparently has given good results in other mustangs he’s tuned with simple cat backs.
after Easter I’m heading back there for them to use the LM Tune I thought he was going to use to see if there’s any change.
Disclaimer: this is not a bag in EuroTorque as the owner has been awesome and offered to help me out but we’re both scratching our heads as to why the power figure are so low and why it can’t seem to rev past 6k?!

What about removing the tune and see if the engine is alive above 6k ?
That would show if the issue is with the tune or something else

What fuel is being used?
What do the datalogs suggest? timing being pulled, throttle closing, running out of fuel, etc?

Somebody leave packing material in your exhaust?

I think most of the Injen cai’s have inserts (more restrictive) to accommodate the factory tune, if this one does, was it removed prior to tuning?

Fuel is 98ron (as we have her is Oz) and is fricken hope there wasn’t any packing left in the exhaust!!!!
I’ll have to get the dyno sheet to confirm the timing and throttle response….but to have 38rwkw LESS in stock form that a STOCK mustang?!….somethings not right

Not the dyno sheet, I mean an actual datalog from the tuning device you are using.

What interface are you using to tune the car? HP tuners device, SCT etc

True.
Personally I think he/she/they/it messed up on the ignition.
