From what i read, apparently the b & o falls short for what some people would expect from the premo grade radio.
Tbh, i dont need a killer set up but i still needed to feel the music if u get what i mean. The couple hundred into this upgrade is well worth it imo. Adding a sub alone did wonders but its finally coming alive with the door upgrades.
The B&O is better than the 9 speaker, but not by leaps and bounds. Iā€™m currently working my way through a full replacement of my B&O system in my ā€˜21.

So after a few weeks of the new set up in the doors, i will say that i am pleased with the upgrade. The popping and crackling is gone and the sound is much cleaner. So much so that i wanted to see what the rear speaker change would do....that being said
I finally decided to dive into the rear last night.

While i wasnt looking fwd to the job, it was actually easier and faster than my original expectations. I did not have to pull all the interior pool panels to get my deck cover off. Once that was off, 6 screws and we were making progress. I ended up using 6 sheets of sound deadening on the shelf and under the seats. It made a noticeable difference from just knocking around on the metal surfaces so im sure its doing something beside adding some weight.
I also added some foam under the deck panel, it made it fit much more snug when i put it bag in place. This is used packaging foam i saved from something delivered. My deck cover had a sloppy loose fit so im hoping thats the rattle/noise im trying to reduce.
Heres some obligatory pics, no particular order..

I did the same set up as you, exact same powerbass speakers front and rear same infinity 3.5s. What I ended up doing was removing the A pillar tweeters all together and I added a 3rd infinity 3.5 for the center speaker. I forscanned the EQ and all is well, sounds wayyyy better than stock.

What components do you plan to use?

that's actually awesome to hear as I've been very satisfied with the speaker upgrade thus far. Been rocking it loud and very impressed with how much changed, its crazy Ford calls that a premium set up from factory.
I have the forscan ready to go but I havent pulled the trigger yet since I was pretty happy with what the rear speakers added. I'll be down there today messing with it as long as my 2 month license is still active.

That is a great setup. I have the VX800/8i for mains and currently have an RF600.1 for the JL Audio CS112G W6v3 Sub enclosure and have ordered the Focal PS 165 F3E 3 way component set for the front stage and Morel Tempo Ultra Integral MKii for the rears. The JL Audio C7 and C5 was my second choice but they are dang pricy.

I see you matched those C7 to an amp to provide more power than the Vx800 is capable of. :)

JL Audio C7 3.5ā€ and tweets in the front, plus C5 coaxials in the back run off a VX800/8i, C7 6.5ā€ run of a Vx600/2i, and two 12W3v3 subs in a sealed box run off a Vx1000/1.

Correct. I wanted to have a substantial midbase response and the C7 6.5ā€ woofers would be operating half their potential with only 75 watts from the 800/8. The 600/2 will push 180 watts per channel at 4 ohms which is perfect for these woofers.

Wow... crazy expensive stuff. :p The amps alone are around 5500,-- ā‚¬ in Germany.
I got lucky and found two of them in an ā€œopen box, unusedā€ condition at Sonic Electronics. Same with the C7 mids and tweets. Saved over $1K on two amps and the speakers and they are all brand new.

I buy my stuff from them also. They had the VXi 800/8i with a $300 gift card. If I could find a VXI 600/1 or 1000/1 I would jump on it....it would have to be at good savings since it would be only bought to replace an amp and more of a want than a need.

I started piecing this system together last September so itā€™s definitely been an exercise in patience waiting for parts to be available again.
