You may want to do some more research. Firestone severed the ties with Ford and said it was the Explorer. They recalled there tires, but the Explorer were still rolling. http://www.autoblog.com/2010/09/07/ford-explorer-rollover-settlement/

All I'm saying, just don't thing one company is doing this.
Was not the fault of the design of the truck. That is why there were no changes other than the tires.......Firestone was to blame. Their tires were proven to be faulty.

Just shut up, this issue is completely different. This threatens the whole company and both current and future product.

GM knowingly approved a sub-standard part and went through great lengths to cover it up. A lot of people died and they covered up and issue and delayed a recall... Killing a few of the people that unwillingly bailed them out.

The other issue here is seeing the company for what it STILL is. Two-faced, dishonest and morally incorrect.

Then why are they continuing to roll over after new tires? There are many many documented roll overs after new tires were put on. http://kansascity.legalexaminer.com...xplorers-rollover-crashes-continue-to-happen/

Give it up. Look at all the suvs based on trucks that can roll over when they lose control. Essentially it is all of them. Also firestone blaming ford to get out of there legal issues

As well as a reporter Very trustworthy.

One thing that GM fans have to accept now is that when they support GM and their products they ate defending and supporting a company that knowingly and willfully covered up a defect that killed well over a hundred people and wounded many more.

Every company makes mistakes, but GM knew about this a decade ago and actively concealed it and now tries to deny responsibility for it despite engaging in activities that testify to the contrary.

A lot of people are trying to engage in moral equivalency by trying to equate this to the Firestone scandal from nearly twenty years ago which is dishonest and indicates a fundamental moral and ethical deficiency in anyone engaging in such a defensive tactic.

GT350: $47,870

GT350R: $61,370

Last minute Gas Guzzle Tax was $1300. Could be responsible for the GT350 losing some weight savings to the R. This gets them very close to the basement $49,995 I reported with GG Tax and Destination ($875).

In other words, some of the GT350 lightweighting could be transferred to the R to meet that $49,995. Or, it's possible this new 550hp SAE rating spawned a reconfiguration of equipment after the GG Tax was an issue.

Or, the GG Tax was part of the initial figure and it was always to be $47,370. I did report hearing $47,000 a few months ago but could barely believe $49,995 w/o GGT and Dest. However, the new found 550hp may be the sole reason the GG Tax exist now.

I'll be shocked if the GT350 still weighs less than the GT. Really impressed if a TP is lighter than the Base GT too. I feel we could see a 3550lbs GT350R.

If true, this lays the z28 to waste in just bang for the buck.

Pretty much confirmed.

GT350: $47,870 (not including $1300 GG and $875 Destination)
Track Pack is $6500 so a GT350TP would be just over $54,370 (not including GG and Dest.)

The GT350R is $61,370 w/o GG and Dest.

I said $49,995, $53,995 and $65,350...

We got $50,045, $56,545 and $63,545.

I got us pretty close!!!

Thanks for reading!!!

BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION!!!

Below is a link to Change.org. It's a petition put forth by Camaro Scotty for Oshawa worker Mike Judge (Camaro5 member Super60) to receive THE LAST 5th Gen made on 20 November 2015.

https://www.change.org/p/general-mo...-his-work-for-the-camaro-enthusiast-community

He has participated extensively in the Camaro community with donations and Camaro organizations since 2009.

Take a minute to sign and pass this along.

Thanks,

thePill...

Whatever I need
Do we know if the GT350 is limited in terms of model years? I would think that the investment in the FPC engine alone would necessitate a multi year run , unless it becomes the future GT motor :headbang:

For me, no can do for at least 3-years (2018).

Initial reports say the contracts run for 5 years. I take it the GT350 is up for renewal in 2020. The initial delay of the 2015 Mustang set everything back 6 months...

2015 should be the only GT350 model year affected... and has become somewhat collectable.

A few days ago I warned that the info that came out this week would kinda skip the 2015. As if it never existed... The 2015's are likely gone and have been since the 2015 announcement.

This year production will only be limited by demand and capacity. At least 500 GT350R's need to be made a year for homologation.

MSRP's CONFIRMED!!!

With Gas Guzzler Tax and $825 Destination included...

GT350: $49,995
GT350TP: $56,495
GT350R: $63,495

When I got the news, I posted it here on 18 April. I had it at:

$49,995
$5000 Track Pack $54,995
$62 or $63,995 (can't remember)

I am sorry about the extra $1500 in the Track Pack. I have no idea what happened... Maybe MRC.

Edit: Ah, I think I originally said $64,995 (changed to $65,350) and it ended up being $1500 cheaper.

The only thing I can think of is that $1500 was taken from the R and potentially added to the Track Pack. I was pissed about the $5000+ reports but now that I see the R being $1500-$2000 less, I guess it's fine. I would still like a MRC-less Competition Pack eventually. Save some $$$ off the TP and maybe add something a little more R.

Again, sorry for the last minute changes, I heard nothing about it.

FYI, only about 500-750 R's will be built a year. Would you rather sell 500 $65,000 dollar cars or 3000-4000 $57,000 cars. That $1500 is worth more overall on the base car TP.
