Frankly it sounds like the PP2 was barely approved and the bean counters at Ford had to be dragged kicking and screaming to allow it. Shelby owners/buyers are their cash cow and I'm sure their fragile egos would be wounded if a mere GT got that close.

I personally know three people with 6th Gen Camaro's who have had to have their rear ends replaced, under warranty, due to the groan issue.. In general it seems the Gen 6 has more problems than the 5th Gen did
