If you buy a Whipple you definitely will need support. Why? Because there are so many issues with them. I could of bought a Whipple but went Roush after all the issues. Hands down the most DEPENDABLE blower and really helps crank out the power.
LOL ... When I drive by you with your little under powered Roush I'll have my middle finger waving out the window ... You might miss it because I'll be going by so fast .. :D

If you've never owned a Whipple how do you know they have issues ? The only issue some people had was belt squeal which was rectified with a new billet tensioner which was supplied for FREE by Whipple. It's ok to have your own opinion but don't make facts out of shit you read on the internet unless you have personal experience with it.
Dont believe me? Go get into FB groups or better yet just start reading through this section. Like I said this is a whipple fan boy based forum and they get their little feelings hurt over factual comments. We have a local member that I have been falling and his shit never runs right. Belts ripping, pulley bearings squealing and so on. Do a bit of research before commenting.

I kept waiting for someone to tell him how it really is. I'm tired of being one of the few to get dirty around here most of the time.
Thats ok. Get dirty. We take showers around this neck of the woods. Oh and you don't get tired you are on every thread. Try to ignore you (what the guys tell me to do) but I feel the need to let you know the truth every now and then. :D

I have had so many issues with my Whipple setups (second one here in the 700whp + club), for starters my biggest problem is how nice it looks under the hood, I mean these guys at Whipple seriously screwed the pooch when they designed this setup with all the OEM quality fittings, hoses, connections, sometimes I have to explain to people at car meets or the track that it WASNT installed from the factory like that. Its really a huge huge issue for me. The fit and finish is like they spent over a year just on design, even the install seemed so well thought out, I was pissed when it was done in one afternoon.

My next biggest gripe is all the upgrades Whipple has done and continues to do. Its like they have no better time to waste than continue to test and improve on an already stellar kit. I mean WTH. First it was the upgraded heat exchanger, which just to add to the issues list was THE BIGGEST water to air ever offered in a kit by any supercharger company even before the fans, then they stuffed two fans on it??!!. Now I have some of the lowest intake temps I have ever recorded on PD blower, huge huge problem. Then it was the 132MM throttle body, like I'm not already making more horsepower per pound of boost than any other PD blower in this size for this motor, now the damn thing has to be even more efficient and needs to spun LESS hard to make the same boost. Ugh, and then the biggest issue I have had of all, they come out with this issue free, Ford engineered, flash programmer called a Flare tool. I mean now what...you mean to tell me I don't have to log the car 15 times, wait for 3 or 4 weeks, or get into a pissing match with some tuner across the country when the car doesn't run right??? Oh and then a few months later Whipple upgrades the tuning AGAIN to have even better failsafes and give the end user control over them?? Even worse, if I want to throw on a smaller pulley and run balls out at the track, you mean to tell me the tune is good enough to handle it without 15 more logs, 3-4 weeks, and more pissing and moaning? I don't know, really irks me to have it be this simple, I really enjoyed that aspect of some of my other procharger and VMP installs, I enjoyed the waiting weeks after they were all installed for the email from my tuner so I could start it for the first time.

Then was the intercooler pump upgrade...bolt in replacement for the stock supplied pump. Flows almost 2x as much at almost the same amp draw. Immediately I noticed my idle IATs and recovery times dropped like a rock. I used to have to let the car cool down between runs with my friends and I was able to complain about the power loss if I raced back to back, NOW I have no real excuse, kills me, THANKS AGAIN for the problem.

Few months ago for whatever reason Whipple decided to LISTEN to some of their customers mentioning the lack of improvement in IATs from the dual fan setups at cruising speeds and their really noisiness, so they put out what literally looks like a regular car radiator for a heat exchanger upgrade. seriously, another huge issue for me. My intake temps post blower are now even MORE stable and seem to just NEVER ever rise, even after a long WOT pull. I have tried calling them to ask what I should do about the lack of heat soak, and those dopes just told me they found the same results after nearly a year of testing, yet they make this available to EVERYONE??? Huge problem.

I just couldn't believe Whipple offered a 10 rib setup from the get go, I mean what is with these guys. Its like they assume their blower can make HUGE power when really pushed hard and might be helpful to have a solid 10 rib setup for those looking for some REAL power. Shame on them for assuming they could put lots of these s550's into the 9's, then into the 8's. This was a huge problem for me, no other kit offers it.

I don't know, too many issues for me. And I have read on these forums lots of other people with these same problems, no idea why they are so popular. If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely do more research about all these issues, for sure I would buy THE SAME EXACT KIT.

He called the TVS fools gold in this post. But he also has a turbo kit now with secret dyno numbers.....DA

With a stick car a PD blowers is a very good fit. If you are are shooting for 800ish IMO its a no brainer. Pick any PD blower and go forward. I have 100% perfect fit and finish with zero issues on my last 3 whipple cars.

Kenne Bell also offers a 10 rib system.. it deletes the alternator out of the equation and shortens the belt.

We have zero issues with IAT's.. tons of 8-9 second KB cars running around. We offer a larger trunk mounted reservoir system for those running higher boost levels and need more capacity. The factory supplied heat exchanger is already huge and handles the task fine.

Best part about KB is that it's modular in design. If you want, you can step up from the 2.8/3.2 to a 3.6, 4.2, or 4.7 without changing anything else in the system. We've made 1340whp with the factory provided parts, and run the Texas Mile with no issue, setting the S550 blower record.

We daily drive, and race what we sell. We gladly work with Lund Racing and literally have zero issues with them. Our customers enjoy trouble free tuning updates in a timely manner (usually within 12 hours) and having each car tuned on a situational basis is the way it should be done. No two blower cars are ever the same. So, being able to tweak each car to get the most out of it is always nice.

Our Kenne Bell based blower systems are affordable and priced competitively with others, offering value that some don't.

We offer a full bolt on twin turbo system that has the most power and the most range in the industry!

We keep systems on the shelf and ship within two weeks.

Please let us know if we can answer any questions:headbang:

One thing we can say, a majority of our customers are replacing their belt driven superchargers with out twin kit ;)

I don't need to go onto FB I own the actual product in fact I've owned 4 different Whipple superchargers and have NEVER had any issue with the actual supercharger unit. Belts ripping and pulley bearings and belt squeal are possibilities in ANY belt driven supercharger.

Most guys in this page are Whipple guys. If you go S/C I would do the Roush. Awesome power combined with the most important part of FI...............Stability. Whipple are problematic for the most part. Centrifugals rip crank shafts apart and no power til upper RPMs. Thats all.
Are you basing this from experience? I have had ZERO issues with both of my Whipple installs. :headbang:

Have you ever owned a Whippled car? I have owned two of them, and had zero issues. I have been witness to over two dozen installs, and I am aware of one issue, needed a throttle body swapped out.

Please do not speak about issues with other peoples products, unless speaking from experience.
