I could have sworn mine had tabs. Have you seen this install thread:

I got the lighter. The USB looks like it has these two tiny tabs that I can't push out with my fat fingers.

As I recall, that USB was quite painful. Wish I could tell you more.

USB tabs pull away don't push in like the others. I got it. Thanks! I have a doctors appointment so it's break time anyway.

Question for you and others who have this unit. Is the bezel quality the same as the OEM one? I love the bezel quality and finish on the stock Bezels (even base).

Can barely see a difference. The bezel feels just as good as the oem.

For those having the sync issue above, there is a cure if it happens.

With the radio off. Hold the power button while also holding the right seek button, the will boot the sync system and reset it. Works every time.

Also for those who have the resetting time issue. I turned off the temperature and the clock now works great.

My phone worked, music played and everything. Now it keeps saying connect usb, and I don't hear music playing through. Voice call works, just music is not playing. Tried resetting turned off and on. It pairs successfully and everything, but won't play music.

That sounds like it's a (known) fault with Sync (which is garbage). Disconnect and reconnect the Sync fuses or pull the negative battery lead. There's also some trick you can do by holding down the power and right seek button IIRC.

I hit AUX button on right and it cycled through from usb 1 to speakers, lol didn't see it there (:
