Is there a limiter on the car? Or is that really the top speed of the GT?

From the video, I thought the limiter was still in place... Or does it just run out because 6th is overly big?

Not that it matters of course. 164 mph is more than fast enough :)

Thanks for the video. I was wondering what the top speed of these cars were.

Ford needs to put a 7SPD MT in these cars, rather than the 6SPD.

FYI...You want to hit 200 mph go buy a used 13/14 GT500 with 3:31 gears and one piece carbon fiber drive shaft standard.
But if that's not enough then maybe a new Ford GT 216 mph.

FYI...You want to hit 200 mph go buy a used 13/14 GT500 no limiter @ all. But you need 5 miles and perfect weather. Also some balls and proper set up.
But if that's not enough then maybe a new Ford GT 216 mph.
Or just add a Whipple to the current GT. :D

yea same here, 140 down the Top Gear track in the wet and dry, in a vert, (roof up) otherwise would have had to wear a crash helmet and not be allowed to take a passenger. one run started to rain as was zooming down the runway. lauguage a bit ripe, 129 my 2nd run, total buzz !!

Car was very smooth, in the auto box, and they done away with the rolling start, which was annoying
Next year, hopefully will be a dry day :D

It's 3.55 on EU PP in both manual and auto. :)
Great video, like your other one better though.
Almost. The Ecoboost manual gets the 3.31s to creep under a magic 180g/km CO2 emissions thing that otherwise would've boosted the price ridiculously in Belgium and similar countries. (Up here it's ridiculous anyway you look at it :D)

With a stock rpm coyote, 3.31s or 3.55s are ideal. 3.73s need rpm to make sense. Shifting into 5th at 115ish is just silly as is shifting into 6th at 142ish. 6th is an OD gear with very little acceleration. One wants to avoid making that shift for as long as possible.

kapiteinlangzaam, what rpm were you shifting at? Seems like you were taking advantage of Lund's raised rpm limit : ) Also, I've done a few 150mph stints without the wind noise issues you mentioned.

I was running a data log after getting a new tune and hit 153 MPH and the car was still pulling but lifted when I started approaching traffic. I don't trust the person in the right hand lane enough to pass them when they're only going 65 MPH.
