GT350R Race Car #PP004 first track day

Took PP004 out for its first track day. It is a great car. Here is a video some friend made of the day. I hate being on camera. If I got any info wrong dont crucify me too much. We are far from professionals.

How did your lap times compare to your other 350. I understand many variables, temp, tires, traffic, not pushing it, etc. Also, did you ever weigh the PP004, just curious.

I did not record any track times. It did feel a bit quicker but I was not pushing the car at all.
I have not had a chance to put it on scales.
First time out was to shake it down and get familiar with it.
Really happy with it so far.

Sure looked like a successful first outing - great weather, beautiful sounds, and one over-the-top GT350R unlike anything else around. So glad you got it and that you are exercising it, too!

Give that one guy a light saber, please.

Great stuff here. Thanks for sharing the journey. Very real. Have you asked ford show parts for the original window sticker based on the vin? I know it's a PP but they should still have one. If you have it, can you share the build day or blend day?

I own a GT35R with a build date of 8/3/15. It's a fairly early car. One of the earliest I've seen. However, yours should be even ahead of that. My vin is G5520147. I believe yours is G5520141? Pretty close.

I will check into getting a window sticker. Good suggestion. The build date was May of 2015.

Did you know that those first 2015 MY GT350s were assembled in August of 2015, after your car? Your 2016 PP004 350R and my 2016 GR018 350R were produced in May and July of 2015. So they built our cars first, then released them later as a 2016. Interesting tactics by Ford.

My car GR018, was a Ford Evaluation vehicle that stayed with Ford till 2020. The engineers studied it for 5 years until they were done building 350s. It would be nice to see some other 2106 MY 350Rs that were produced before the initially released 2015MY cars.

I've never seen another 2016 PP or a 2016 Chassis # lower than GR018. You certainly own a piece of automobile history.

Hope to see your window sticker. In the lower left corner, the "Sold to" & "Ship to" boxes should have Ford as the purchasers and destination. You'll also see a "TAG" code with possibly a person's name. Check out my window sticker below bbYou won't see a lot of those....
