I am interested in the answer for a 2023 Mustang GT, but if anybody knows for a 2022, I am sure that they are similar…Does There Exist a Diagram or Listing of any Chassis Zerk Fittings?? … on which use a Grease Gun in the process of carrying out a Lubrication ??

Thank you !

I think there are no zerk fittings. I did not find any reference to them in the owner's manual or the maintenance manual. I haven't owned a vehicle in the last 15 years that had any.

But that's my weekend mechanic opinion. Someone with more experience may have a different take on it.

On the Mustangs at the very least, all the fittings are sealed. Once they go, you have to replace the entire fitting.

Thanks for the responses, guys, that’s what I suspected…sealed bearings are not the answer and what’s worse is missing a Zerk!

Yes, but that's what we have. Cause Ricky Racer, Dan DIY, and Jackleg Quicklube never greased them anyway.

LMAO, it would be nice to have that. My HotRods do straight axles, hairpins, king pins & leaf springs.

Greasable joints are a mess. I have an '02 truck and as things started needed replacing on that, I started replacing wtih greasable joints and such. Everything makes a flippin mess. I hate them. I'll deal with shorter lifespan (or whatever the perceived downsides are) and go with sealed stuff next time around.

The best part of sealed for life items is that they, under normal conditions, do not allow contaminants in. Almost all (70%+) lubricated parts fail due to contamination. Conventional old school grease points using zerk fittings require 1.) that they be serviced 2.) that they be serviced with the correct lubricant and 3.) that the servicing is done properly. Often times difficult to get at zerks are ignored. Also, they are greased with the wrong grease. And, finally, they are not wiped clean before the new grease is pumped in, no grease is pumped in because the zerk is clogged, or, if the zerk is not clogged, so much grease is pumped in that the seal is damaged allowing what? CONTAMINATION! to intrude.

Sealed for life units are better when improper servicing is the only service available. They are better when proper inspection is done to identify failing units. And, generally speaking they are better.

Another benefit is that things around them stay cleaner, too!

good points…maybe they just need to improve the sealed units, my guess is that they can, ‘but why terminate a lucrative source of (service) revenue’.
