Yeah but I still need a crossover. Any suggestions for something really small? And it needs to have a phase switch and I would like a remote level up front.
That wire is in the trunk?
Yes, in the cable that runs near the right rear speaker underneath the rear deck.

For something simple without a phase switch/level control, you could use something like this;

If you have to have phase/level control, you are talking processor and a bit more money...

My amp comes on with ignition, not just when the engine is running. I tapped into the blue/white wire for remote turn on.
I used the same wire for my sub, and when you kill the engine, and the radio stays on until the doors are opened, my amp shuts off. It doesn't bother me, because when I kill the engine, it's because I'm getting out, but I just wanted to put that out there.

I tapped into the rear speaker wires for my LOC (cheap $15 one from Best Buy, so nothing fancy), and I don't notice any bass roll off at higher volumes.

I suggest facing the subs to the rear. I had mine facing the rear, and it sounded good enough. I read this thread about someone facing them forward in another car and it sounded better, so I turned it around to face the front (and confirmed clearance between sub and seat at max excursion), and it sounded horrible with the seats up. There is not enough room to move the air and the sound waves, I'm guessing, we're going straight back to the sub, and it killed the bass and sounded horrible. Turned it back around facing the rear and it sounds better.

Regardless of that, I don't understand the comment above where the guy said he faced them forward to allow more movement with the seats up. That literally makes no sense. You are restricting the open space in front of the sub from a few feet when rear facing to a few inches at MOST (I only had about 1"-1.5" at the top of the sub, and my bod is angled since it was a truck box). Can you please explain your logic behind that comment?

He's got a vintage amp that may not have a lpf Like most modern amps

I've used modern amps with built in crossovers (I have one now), but it pales in comparison to a standalone crossover. I have an Infinity 360/2 amp, and my Kicker crossover makes a world of difference in sound quality.

Back fire any rattling?

I've had a rear firing, ported box for over a year now w/out a single rattle and I like it loud. :). That's really pretty amazing considering I've always had to chase rattles in previous cars.

How are the rattles? I heard with the rear firing subs, the rattling can be very bad.

They do for the 05-14 so I'm sure they can for the '15 if you request it. Shoot them an email.
I'm sure they can, too. But, hopefully not as a one off, so as to keep the cost down.
