I received my car back from Livernois Motorsports today.
Andy one of the calibrators called me to update me on the car and drivability repeatedly over the last few weeks. I went there and drove it Monday, but drivability was still an issue. Specifically in that intermediate area where you accelerate kind of briskly, say 1/4 power. The hesitation when shifting was there. I will report back the issue to him tomorrow, but will drive it for a while to see if I can live with it.
I have to say they took every work I had to heart and tried to really make it work, but still bizarre how it drives. I picked it up with my brother and asked him what he thought. He asked me "are you doing that with your acc pedal?" No. Just very wierd.
LMS worked on the blowoff valve, switched back to the larger pulley, etc, etc. In fact the calibrator called me on Saturday and at night to talk of the issues as well as the Manager. I was treated very respectfully, The car is just irritating in mid range.
For the good news, the car was detailed very nicely. And, it really does shift at 8,000 RPM. Truly incredible. Full throttle drivability is fine along with the full throttle shift.

I know what you mean about Your hesitation. I bet it happens when your shifting and when you give the car gas when crusing. It’s when your car goes into boost, livercrap could never fix it with mine. I left them and went palm beach Dyno and Guess what man. it don’t do it no more. livercrap cant tune their own blower set for some reason. Go to Lund or palm beach your won’t regret it

Buddy of mine just installed this blower. He hated drivability with the livernois tune. Decided to switch to Lund. Talked to a local shop that works with Lund, shop and Lund decided on time/date. He just dropped it off and picked up a couple hours later. He supplied the 3.1 pulley and BAP. Pre tune was 564whp with livernois tune. After was 609whp without needing to go to 8000rpms. Hot AF south Florida weather. Says he couldn’t be happier with the way the car drives/behaves

It’s a great cheap kit but livershat can’t tune it. It’s too funny

I got the car on Thursday. Terrible, terrible tune. I was able to take it to another shop and within 30 seconds of driving it he said. "it's a really bad tune, running lean". By the time we got back from a 4 mile drive he said that I shouldn't drive the car home, it was way too lean. I asked him if this was the original tune from when the blower was originally installed could it cause the damage. He said absolutely. He just put the AFR gauge up and saw it right away. He said the car is predetonating,"I can feel it". You guys were right, had I had it tuned from another shop right away, I might have saved the original engine. Also LMS locked the tune so I need to have Ford clear the computer.
The backup camera started acting screwy and the cruise control would just all of a sudden accelerate the car! All this occurred right after I picked up the car. I'm never going back. Incompetence all the way. I believe as others have stated that they should refund the amount of the entire rebuild.

You have been very patient my friend, and have proven beyond any doubt that you have given them a fair shake to make this right. They have proven twice now at your cost and loss that they can’t tune properly and wasted your time and money. They need make it right with you or loose there ass.

Wow, that is absolutely terrible. I feel for you, I really do. If the tune is that bad after they spent all that time on it, I would bet, that was the issue last time.

That’s brutal ! I’ve been following this thread for a while now and I’m just blown away. This is bad ! They should refund every cent you’ve given them. I feel bad for you. Sounds like your new tuner will get you going in the right direction though. Good luck.

Given Livernois input in this thread, I can't see them giving any kind of financial compensation.

Be thankful your new engine is in one piece and get a proper tune on it.

Call livershat and have them update your livershit tuner via the internet to put the original tune back on. They update it and you plug in that shitty tuner and it updates back to the real stock file. I had to do that to get my new tune unto car from rob at palm beach Dyno. it’s stupid and annoying but you don’t need to go to ford.

I'm convinced that there's more to this than just a poor tune. The car accelerating hard when it's normally driving with the cruise control on and The Back-up Camera having a photograph of my driveway from when I first took the car to Livernois flashing back and forth isn't indication that there might be some sort of a virus. This tuner has a friend who works for Ford that that will clear the CPU out. What I just don't understand is how they can let the car leave the shop running so poorly. I'm guessing there's some employee issues there something. Virtually everyone I spoke to was very nice and seemed concerned about helping me.

One thing for sure, quit driving the car hard on the current terrible tune.

It's just going to pop again most likely and you'll be in the same predicament.

Seems a no brainer to get it tuned properly and Livernois should pay for it honestly.

Cruise control might just be a boost thing. My car with livernois and plam beach. If the traffics makes me slow down or car goes up hill it goes into boost and speeds back up to the set speed like a bat at of heLL
