Hey guys, I have Xpel on my car and the full hood is done as well. The stealth xpel film was used for my stripes to keep the matte look, the only thing that was not covered were the red pin stripes since that would cause the films to bubble I was told.

I must say after the installation you cannot tell the film is on the car. The stripes looks matte still and the rest is glossy. It looks amazing, hope this helps.

I had a suggestion to put Expel Ultimate over the entire hood and then 2 strips of Expel Stealth over it where the 2 matte stripes are. Thoughts? Obviously, it'll be raised.
So the raised is hardly raised I mean you really have to look at it - I have my GT500 stripes covered because the gloss striping is SO difficult just touching it leaves a friggin scratch mark

One major consideration:

If you cover the stripes and then try to remove the film, the stripes come off with it.

I still covered the stripes.
