X pipe modification and install

I need some informaiton on a low cost exhaust modification. Are the GT pipes 2.5" and from the youtube videos I have seen, everyone is getting rid of the resonator. Would a good inexpensive mod be to eliminate the resonator and install an X Pipe? I have seen a Magnaflow Tru Fit X pipe online and it looks like a really good unit. It appears to me that you could cut out the resonator, install the X Pipe and add some 2.5" stainless pipe to make up the lenght difference. Any Thoughts?

Lethal Performance also has one that replaces the suitcase and the flex pipes so everything from there back is 2.5" They are around $300

We also have a resonator delete. Available in H or X. We offer them in Stainless Steel and Aluminized, with detailed instructions on where exactly to cut. One side uses the factory OEM connection point and the other uses OEM clamps provided in the kit. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

I had a local shop with a mandrel bender make my xpipe cost 175.00 and then I put the Magnaflow 4" round mufflers with factory tips. Sounds good and felt a little better on the throttle response to me. If I can figure out how to post a video, I can post a sound clip.

$40. Resonator delete. Straight pipe. No dyno, but just driving I'm noticing a slight increase in power. It'll hold you over until you're ready for a full system.

X Pipe

I found a Magnaflow - Flowmaster exhaust dealer that is going to do the work on Tuesday. They are using a 3" X Pipe. I will attach pictures when completed.
