No failures of my H-pipe clamps or Roush axle-back clamps thus far in a few thousand miles of driving. I just torqued them down good and tight. I guess you could use some blue or red Loctite on the threads if you were worried about clamps coming loose but didn't want anything welded.

I have the Ford Racing Sport by Borla cat-back system on mine. I'm not sure if the x-pipe is the same or not. No issues with the clamps ever coming loose enough to allow anything to fall. And that's only torqueing them to 35 lbs per the directions. Now, I do when it's cold have a small amount of condensation that leaks from the rear connection of the x-pipe but it has caused no issues as far as your typical exhaust leak would.

And I now have about 9,000 miles on my system as it was the very first thing I did to the car once I got it home. (actually had my exhaust before I had my car!)

If the clamps are torque properly, they shouldnt fall off.

I would guess whatever shop you took to standard's are below average.

Those clamps just don't come loose. Period.
