WTB Drag wheels and tires for PP GT

[2015 DIB GT]

Looking for some relatively inexpensive rims that will fit on the PP cars to use at the drag strip. Don't need to have tires mounted, I can buy new, but if you have a set with drag radials already mounted I'd be open to that too. Anybody have anything?

I probably will. Does anyone know what size rim is needed to clear brakes, etc? The stock rims are 19", will smaller diameter fit and would this give me more sidewall and therefore better traction?

I believe I have read that for a PP car it has to be a 19" to clear the front brakes but for the rear I do not know. I am interested in this as well.

That is correct. Hell some 19s wont fit. My girl bought XO wheels and the lip inside the wheel barrel was hitting the shoulder of the PP caliper. 19s MINIMUM. Glad I went with 20s.

That is not true. There are some 18" drag fronts that will fit the PP.

touché, for some reason I was thinking of full size wheels.

The rears are the same on all cars, only the fronts are different. While not cheap, Weld does have an 18/17 combo that fits our cars.

These are 17's all the way around on a base GT
