I used vvivid vinyl I got from ebay for $30 for a 5 feet by 4 feet roll
Thank you for doing this!!!! I have wanted the brushed aluminum look for a long time! How does the vinyl feel? Does it have a smooth surface or rough like the real brushed aluminum?

Is this the 3m Wrap Film? I know I have seen 3m and than just what I would say is regular vinyl.

Search vvivid vinyl on ebay. I found the listing for the brushed aluminum. From what I can see this is NOT 3M vinyl. This is fine by me because 3M brushed aluminum finish is terrible... This looks much better.

its closer to smooth but it does have a aluminum rough feel to it could be I really applied the heat gun to it to make sure it stuck like glue to the trim why it came out smoother than how it comes off the roll

As long as it is not a gloss finish that obviously looks like vinyl wrap I would be happy! I could care less if my dash was real aluminum or not. As long as it replicates the look and about 90% of the feel then I am fine.

Thanks big time for posting did it want to stretch? Also how did it stick for ya? did a great job with it, I have only messed with 3m when I did my roof and I was surprised at how well that stuff worked but this looks like it works just as good.

it stretched really well for me around the groves you got to be really detailed just heat material pull and stick to trim only thing I would say it don't use a card to lay down the wrap unless you wrap a microfiber around it this wrap scratches easy for some reason
