That was Great on the SVO Mustang and the 87-88 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe because the Intercooler sat right under the Scoops. Do we even know if the Eco-Boost has an intercooler?

Just curious, wouldn't the closed face choke the engine, make it hotter inside?

Option #1.

Find a rental car company that has a 2015 Mustang GT that matches your car color. Rent the GT, swap the hood with your Ecoboost hood, drive the GT through several mud puddles and get is nice and dirty, return the car. They will never know the difference.

Option #2.

We could create a "Hood Donor" program that would connect GT owners with EcoBoost owners that would be willing to swap hoods. The challenge will be to find GT owners that are not modding their cars since they are probably not on any forums or in any clubs.

Any other ideas?

The gt350 style hood looks great and should be functional. I personally don't like the hood vents on the gt and would've gladly swapped for the sleeker Eco/v6 hood had I bought one.

An SVO-inspired hood on the ecoboost would be nice. Essentially, They should have labeled the Ecoboost as an SVO anyway, in my opinion.

It's been beaten almost to death, but it has been shown by the professional tuners on this site that the stock closed airbox outperforms any open box in all areas other than sound.
It is by design a factory cold ram air system.
That said, I like hood scoops.

The hood has nothing to do with the air intake. It does have the ram air for fresh air to the engine bay and open heat extractors.

I agree, I was commenting on a previously posted suggestion that a scoop above the airbox would generate a ram air effect.

Or just get the GT extractors and cut your own holes too.

The stock aluminum hood is so flimsy, I wouldn't want to cut those big holes in it.
