After several delays, apparently my Mustang was due to be built this week.

Whilst it's not updated on ETIS, the Window Sticker has just appeared

Finally looks as if the car is on its way!

Does anyone know whether the window sticker gets generated after build, or just before?

Anyway, relieved to finally have some progress after 9months of waiting so far (ironic gestation period for the car )

Congrats,

Just before as it's like a check list for the production line. The blend date at the very top is when your car is scheduled to be build :)

Stiffy, noooo, you're moving faster than me :(, I've got no update, albeit I haven't got a VIN yet, or a window sticker so can't check ETIS for the latter! You've got my hopes up for an email from Karen coming today matey.

Whats your build date?

To be fair Stiggy did order 4 months before you ;)
The window sticker doesn't appear in ETIS - it's accessible via a separate link. ETIS won't update until 1-2 days after the car is built.

Can't remember what the "120" signifies but the rest is in the format "YYMMDD".

methinks your predictive text is having a bit of a laugh :D
Isn't predictive text based on how many time you use a particular word

As stiggy has just pointed out to me it's not 120.... 20 is part of the date i.e. 2015 or 2016 in his case. The 1 I have no clue now lol

Blend date is 120160112 - so depending on the formatting of the blend it's either car 1 of 2016 01 12 - or the 120th on 16 01 12 - either way it's TODAY! :) :headbang:

I have that exactly that blend date - so unless you've seen my window sticker ;), the '1' in front of the 120160112 is generic, not line off number?

ETIS isn't updated yet, so still shows 30-11-0002. Until you have your VIN, you're a bit stuck in terms of knowing estimated build? Karen went quiet on me a while ago, but the dealer has been more forthcoming with communications. Looks like their estimate of late March (26th) may just be feasible - shipping, undersealing and general faffing provided.

But blend date is the key one for me today.

Ok, I seem to be at a loss here, where does the window sticker appear? Link?

I know it's probably here somewhere, but there's been that many links in umpteen threads, I'm just bamboozled!

yes, the "1" doesn't mean anything; the rest is the "planned build start date" that usually only appears a day or two before. You have then "generic" date prior to that. The build can actually take more than a day (depending on where it is at the end of the shifts...)

So you are correct; in theory all the parts are in the right place ready to be assembled into your car - today!

for your window sticker, this one often works better:
http://researchmaniacs.com/VIN-Number-Lookup/WindowSticker/FordSticker.html?title=1FA....

replace 1FA with your full VIN, and remember the convertibles have a different starting code to the fastback.
