Hey guys, is there a brand of wipers you all prefer for our S550s and any preference on vendors/sites/shops?
I just tried DieHard branded wipers and they didnt fit (there seems to be issues using their supplied pinch tab adapter - doesnt fit in the arm). Wasted hour! The Ford ones went on and off in literally seconds.

The Ford ones are good but not convenient to buy. Vendors who I looked up charge separate shipping and the size estimate seems off. LMR sells a motorcraft bundle but size is 19 and 21, others say 20 and 22. I'd also prefer amazon prime shipping as need them soon.

I like the Bosch Icon blades. Super easy to install and last like 8-12 months on my car which spends half of its day outside in the Florida sun and is garaged the other half.
22 inch (driver) - https://amzn.to/2KKDrMG
20 inch (passenger) - https://amzn.to/2KMR1PQ

I get the Motorcraft brand for the girlfriends 2014 Fusion (because they are odd sizes not offered by other manufacturers), and they last less than 6 months. Her car is not garaged though.

If you prefer the Motorcraft, here are the correct ones for that:

I can never really tell if this is because people don't wipe their wiper blades when they clean the car, don't clean their windshields, or are just a lot more picky about how the wipers perform, so what makes you replace the wiper blades?

Mine is literally always outside in south Florida sun, never garaged and wipers seem okay after almost two years of me driving. I'll probably be replacing them in January for good measure though.

My 16 GT had worn wiper blades after 35,750 miles and I bought Bosch Icon's and like them fine to the tune of $40.00 or so. I now am at 43,750 miles.

When wipers chatter across the glass and leave huge streaks of water, instead of actually wiping it away. It's still usable, but not ideal. Admittedly, the Fusion doesn't get washed as often as it should... maybe once every 3-4 months. I wash the Mustang about every 2-3 weeks and also wipe down the wiper blades.

Thanks a ton. Unfortunately I had hit purchase on Amazon for the Motorcraft one before I saw the link to the Icons. Hopefully they will not be too bad - are those the ones that came on our Stangs from the factory? If so mine have lasted 3+ years!

And you tried crap, no-name wipers becaaaaause?

BOSCH Icons are awesome.

Also get yourself some RainX, and coat your windshield and door glass with it. A few times. As often as you can remember to do it.

I bought Michelin blades for my wite's car a few years back. Easy replacement, lasted a long time. Next time they were required the dealer gave us a complimentary set (many years of Toyota service).

On each of my last new Mustangs, five in all, I have bought the Ford extended warranty, so every time I go in for service—six months intervals regardless of mileage—they replace the blades, which work fine. I have no idea how long they would last.
