Kona looking good as always. I'm about to put mine in the garage for the winter sadly. But we still have some decent weather left it would seem, still been in the 50's and 60's during the day.
I change the oil, fill the gas tank and wash it, that's it as far as prep. I also park it with the A/C and recirculate set to on before turning the car off to keep the interior cabin closed off to any annoying rodents. What are some things you do to prepare your car to sit for winter?
That AC trick is smartI change the oil, fill the gas tank and wash it, that's it as far as prep. I also park it with the A/C and recirculate set to on before turning the car off to keep the interior cabin closed off to any annoying rodents.
Keeping battery on a trickle charger is recommended, but I just charge it periodically since sometimes I drive it if the weather is above 45 and the roads are relatively clean.
I have a 4x4 Tacoma with Blizzaks for when there's stuff on the road, so I went with the Alpin5 on the Mustang.Same here! I have Michelin X-Ice's on my stock blackout package wheels, which are narrower. Can't wait for some snow now.

Them's some wide tires for snow!I went with 275/40R19 squared Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06 plus this time around.
I found winter tires to be too squishy and noisy for me when I had them the last 6 years on my 15GT

I agree, but I don’t plan on driving in the snow.Them's some wide tires for snow!I ran DWS on my BMWs for 9 months of the year after burning through the runflats. Nice tires.
I went square as well, 245/45R-19 all around on 19" FP Boss 302 wheels.
Yeah, as long as you don't get caught out by something weird (mine was an ice storm in mid-October one year), the DWS are a great choice for cold and dry, and they won't turn to butter on the occasional warm days (which is when you're really going to want to be in the Mustang).I agree, but I don’t plan on driving in the snow.
I’ll take it out only on dry days.
Had to get the PS4S’s off for the cold months.
I got caught out in an unforecast ice storm last winter, after the local weather report just called for "some spots of fog". Dropped a skin of ice onto the highway, then misted water over the top of it. Went past 6 accidents involving about 15 cars over a stretch of about 4 miles. I was fine with how I was doing, but I was really worried about all the people around me sliding in my direction. Now wait for some snow, activate wet& snow mode, floor it on packed snow, and let us know how good, or not, ESP is please.
