Loud Dragging Noise on Wiper Return.

My OEM wipers are doing a good job on removing water from the windshield.
The wiping action is very quiet on the upstroke, however, on the return stroke the wipers squeek very loudly. It's as if the upstroke has removed every water molecule and the glass is very dry, so there is a lot of friction on the blades as they return.
RainX washer fluid does do a better job on 'lubricating' the glass than 'regular' wash fluid. I plan to replace the OEM blades in a couple of months.

Honestly, throw a good sealant or paint coating like CQuartz on your windshield and you will never have a problem with the wipers again.

Yeah rain x are great. Works wonders for cleaning your windshield. And they are pretty cheap.

Mistakes were made today. Asked a friend what our connector was and he said "top lock". Went to Costco and bought Michelin Stealth which had a "top lock" connector. Turns out it's not the same connector at all. Returning these tomorrow and getting RainX (confirmed on their website that Lattitude fits out cars).

I had that problem with my stockers. Driver side especially. Replaced the driver side and it was doing the same thing. Was just a cheap one. Not i got some rain x ones on there. And i really like them so far!

Just put on some Rain-X. They're OK, but not perfect. Obviously better than stock. I'll be trying the Bosch next time.

Just came across this thread. Thought I was crazy and my gf told me I was just being picky. At least now I know it's pretty common. I still have a free replacement in my back pocket but may just spring for a better set.

The other recommendation I have for people who continue to have streaking even with a new set of wipers is to clay their windshield. You would be amazed at what a difference doing this does. There are some embedded contaminants that can cause the wipers to streak. Hit it with an appropriate sealant and you probably won't need to even turn the wipers on.
