Good news - I just found a sticker on the back of the radiator support. All bugs must be loaded rear-end first and only on the lower level of the radiator. :ford:

Don't worry op, if the gt350 is built in the same line as the regular mustangs, it is the nature of the beast. I recently replaced my cabin filter and it was installed the wrong way, the arrow was facing the front of the car instead of the cabin.

Many modern cars are set up this way. It helps with wind noise and aerodynamics by keeping the wipers out of the air stream. My VW GTI is like this as well. In that car you hit the wiper switch once with the engine off but ignition still on, and they move to a vertical "park" position for windshield cleaning and blade replacement. Lots of cars are like this now. It's a "feature" not a flaw.

I think Ford puts too much stock in human beings being able to look at something and figure it out.

It was the same on my 03 cobra. Ford had been doing this for over 10 years
Um, my 04 Cobra didn't do that.

Regardless of whether or not Ford meant to do it, the hood could have had a better design to accommodate the wipers and also address the fluttering that occurs at high speed at the left and right nose. If it were for aerodynamics, I am sure the extra 2-3mm necessary to clear could have been designed in at minimal cost - I find it hard to believe Ford could not achieve both goals. (Bean Counters)

This fluttering has to affect the aerodynamics due to the increased resistance to airflow at a rapidly oscillating rate.

I don't the fluttering is common to all cars. It therefore may be more related to the adjustment of the match than a design issue. I don't think my hood flutters, or maybe I just haven't gone fast enough to notice it yet.

I saw it on my car when I was driving next to it at high speed, as well as on the track at high speed while in the car - speeds between 145-155. I have seen it in another video as well.

Nothing abnormal. They're all that way.
No they're not. Mine don't hit, and they have plenty of space clearing the hood.

I'll put a pic in here, but I don't know how well it'll convey what I mean.

But I've also taken my wiper assembly off when I installed my Kbrace (it was unnecessary, but I was following ford's instructions), and when I reinstalled them, I made sure they were aligned with the markings on the windshield (it looks like the letter H marked on the windshield where your wipers should be resting. If they hit your hood, I would check to make sure your wipers are actually aligned correctly in the first place.

I hear you, my GT doesn't have that problem, but like someone pointed out the hood is different on a 350.

Yeah, garagelogic was talking about all 350's, not GT's.

Ahh... god dammit :frusty:

I always get mixed up when I'm browsing via "new posts" instead of by subforum.

I think this thread is about played out. I asked a general question, got the answer. I griped a bit sure, first car I have owned like this. My Roush did not do this as it was based on a GT.

I love this car and all I want to do is make sure I don't ding it up. Hell when I found this was doing a full Cquart to the entire vehicle which freakin took all day as I did a panel at a time.

So lets all
