There are other threads that touch on this subject, but this specific one needs it's own.

From day one, (12/01/14) I have had hissing air leak right around upper right side of windshield area. Starts at 35 mph and remains present until speed drops below 35. During rainstorms which occurred right after delivery, a moisture drip trail appeared on the inside from top and extended about 1 inch downward before drying up and leaving a "print" behind.

Round 1 of dealer service attempt was to inject sealant in the affected area. This did not work. Round 2 involved replacing the entire windshield, after driving with shop foreman where the leak location was witnessed by both of us. This did not work. Shop foreman concurred and suggests a Round 3, looking for issue in different location, possibly reinitializing passenger window.

Yesterday, I taped the windshield to try and isolate it myself and, VOILA!!!!! :clap2::clap2:. No more noise, none, nada, all the way up to way past the speed limit.:D The silence was beautiful and....golden.:headbang: I would've left tape on, but that made car look ugly .
I report my findings to my service advisor and I am awaiting a response. He appreciated my diligence, but honestly, I think they should have done that test. His statement of Round 3 was work likely related to the A-pillar. :frusty: This is really starting to make me nervous.

I love this car, just except for this ONE, yes, ONE ISSUE. But A-pillar??? Does it really have to go that deep into it? Really?

Dang. Good idea on the tape though. Wish you thought of that in the beginning. Hopefully they can actually fix it now.

What's the outcome?
Got the same issue of wind noise above 50 MPH on the drivers side.

Still awaiting a "final" answer on this fix from my dealer. Dealer states that Flat Rock is trying to re-create the issue. I was told that if the fix involved replacing or having direct work with the A-pillar, that Ford may not attempt something of that sort due to the potential of collateral issues likely occurring down the road.

There was a bit of improvement when they replaced the windshield...hiss was heard a 45 mph rather than at 35 mph as before.

I'll update again once I have heard on "final" from my dealer.

Thought I would post an update. Now twenty (20) total days at dealership service department, spread over three (3) attempts to repair windshield air leak. This third attempt still not looking good after being there for 14 of the 20 days. Not happy.

And BTW, this is still the ONLY issue I have had with the car since delivery on 12/01/2014.

This go around, there was body work done to the "bulkhead" portion of the A-pillar to correct the foundation which provides support to the sealant and glass within the affected area. Service rep told me yesterday that noise appears to have moved towards RV mirror. WTH??? There was never any noise there to begin with. And the saga continues.......

I had the same issue http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11755
and it's good now.

I went to dealership for a road test and they verified the wind noise. It was then scheduled to be seen by the "Wind Doctor"... no joke, that's what they called him.

Left it for a day and when I picked it up the noise was gone. Don't know what he did as there wasn't enough detail on the report and he's a contractor paid by ford (and I think others). He left a little plastic tool in the car that had a black sticky residue so I could tell he was working the seals... that's all I know.

I did read your posted thread and I have it on the left upper corner on the windshield. Something is wrong with this 1st Mustangs. The whole left side looks crooked and worries me. But FORD Service Canada called me a couple times now to make sure everything is taking care of. I did also get a CASE#.

Sorry to hear that you have that runaround with the wind noise issue. Do you think that the windshield got lose when they worked on the A-pillar? I have the same noise on the driver side and hate when they start on a new car to try to reseal leaks. Never works out to 100%. Makes me nuts like hell. :frusty:
