There are other threads that touch on this subject, but this specific one needs it's own.
From day one, (12/01/14) I have had hissing air leak right around upper right side of windshield area. Starts at 35 mph and remains present until speed drops below 35. During rainstorms which occurred right after delivery, a moisture drip trail appeared on the inside from top and extended about 1 inch downward before drying up and leaving a "print" behind.
Round 1 of dealer service attempt was to inject sealant in the affected area. This did not work. Round 2 involved replacing the entire windshield, after driving with shop foreman where the leak location was witnessed by both of us. This did not work. Shop foreman concurred and suggests a Round 3, looking for issue in different location, possibly reinitializing passenger window.
Yesterday, I taped the windshield to try and isolate it myself and, VOILA!!!!! :clap2::clap2:. No more noise, none, nada, all the way up to way past the speed limit.
The silence was beautiful and....golden.
I would've left tape on, but that made car look ugly .
I report my findings to my service advisor and I am awaiting a response. He appreciated my diligence, but honestly, I think they should have done that test. His statement of Round 3 was work likely related to the A-pillar. :frusty: This is really starting to make me nervous.
I love this car, just except for this ONE, yes, ONE ISSUE. But A-pillar??? Does it really have to go that deep into it? Really?
