Waking this thread back up, what % are you guys going with for VA registered cars ?
I was looking to do 40% all around or possible 30%. Wanted to see what others have gotten

I 2nd this. They did some quality work. Not one bubble or scratch. Accidental miscommunication got me the highest grade of tint they had for $300. Meant to get the middle of the road stuff for $200ish. Oh well. It looks legit. 35% all around cause **** the police. Hahaha

Tintfx in fairfax.....they did mine about a month ago

I had 25% on my 2014 for about 10 months and never got in trouble. It was VERY dark. Loved it.

I went to Contour Tinting in Chantilly for my wife's '12 Accord. Going on 3 years and it still looks perfect. Plan on heading there with the '16, maybe this week if I can. I am going to see what they offer for the little windows. Like to possibly get those wrapped...

I'm looking to do 3M Crystalline including the front windshield in clear. I'd also consider getting the roof wrapped in black or 3M faux carbon.

Does anyone have any shops they recommend with experience with the product?

Contour only uses the best films. They can also do whole vehicle wraps or poly urethane kits to prevent rock chips. As far as decals, they can do whatever you want done. My coworker went with me to pick up my car and the owner showed us which kit he can order. Then, he would apply it. Straight shooter.

There is also a wrap-specific store across the street from Ted Britt Ford in Chantilly. They are wrapping my roof and hood as soon as I get off my ass and drop it off.

I used Tint Shoppe in Woodbridge and would NOT recommend them if you want show quality results. Not necessarily a bad job but he wasnt able to cover the dots well on the windows when the guy that did my '12 had it done perfectly. Also a couple tiny bubbles in the tint; he has a lifetime warranty and I'm sure he'd attempt to fix it if I brought it in. Oh, they did get a bit of some sort of adhesive on the drivers side door weather stripping that doesnt want to come off. For $250ish I wasnt impressed (tint on the '12 was about $180 but done in CA so I couldnt take it there). And they did do it while I waited.

Edit: this was for Suntek CPX

I'll definitely be getting mine done at Tint Inc in glen burnie. Cheap and get the job done. I had all of my cars tinted there and the longest I had tint on the car was a little over 2 years without no issues until the 895/695 transit police would ALWAYS get me for my tint. I try to steer away from the baltimore bridge and tunnels like I try to steer away from roaches and fleas.

just got my '16 Vert, and was considering LA tint, but $355 is a lot to swallow for tint, when my '13 Vert was only $150.

Kinda torn on this. I live in Sterling, so i'm really only looking around the Sterling area.

How is that much?? I've never seen tint over 150, and that includes my Evo with 10% on everything with a sunbar... Please don't pay that much.

The darkest LA Tint has is 35%. I had the Sterling location do my car as well as my previous Vette. Their top of line tint is the Pinnacle Series for what it's worth.

yeah, i guess i don't go through cars enough to pay attention to what kind of window tint is used. The last two cars i tinted were my '05 GTO in 2005, and then my '13 GT vert in 2013. My '14 Focus ST still hasn't been tinted, but if the place is good, I'll be having them tint both for sure.

I guess i'll have to do more research into window tint types i guess to really get an understanding of what it all means and what is worth it.

Mine is 35% as well. Dark enough to look good, not so dark that you draw tons of attention from the 5-0.

Here is mine right after they pulled it out....with dirty wheels.

I don't really know much about the different brands. I just looked at my receipt and that is what is listed. When I got it done they said it was their best tint but that had others that were cheaper. I think the Pinnacle also came with a life time warranty. Pinnacle is made by Formula.

The important thing is how good is the installer and I can say they did an awesome job on the car. There are no bubbles, lint or anything. The back window was done in one piece.

They used a three man team and I waited while they did it
