Hello everyone,

For almost 2 years I’m trying to solve an issue related to the windows sticking to the gasket which is located above the door.
Simply the window sticks to it and when I open it, it makes this weird sound becuas it’s stuck onto it and it doesn’t move smoothly.

I already tried silicon oil for rubber, but no real result.
The one thing that helps is the antifreeze product for rubbers but this makes the window dirty in that top area…

Thanks for any suggestions what could help to make the rubber more smooth so the window doesn’t stick to it and doesn’t get dirty.

What do you mean please? I don’t reall understand…
Wipe the outside of the glass and the inside of the glass with Rain X product . It doesn't smear and makes the glass slippery. Or try this in the window guides where the glass is sticking...

Thank you! But the issue is regarding the bigger gasket which is more visible and on which the glass lies, not the top gasket into which the glass slides.
This products helps to increase sliding? And reduce sticking?
Does it make the glass dirty?

I've not experienced this with my car yet but I did purchase a rubber protectant from Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00T44D1R2?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

I haven't used the protectant yet, but also perhaps a silicone spray (like one from Napa) might also help make it slick so the glass won't stick to it. You might also try spreading some of it on the top inside edge of the window that contacts the weatherstripping and see if that helps. Good luck!

Oh ok. I misunderstood. The Rain X will probably help. And yes, it makes the window slippery. And no, it doesn't make the glass dirty. First clean your windows really well inside and out. Then apply a coat of Rain X in a circular motion inside and out, then wipe off with a clean dry terry cloth. If it smears a little, wipe it again with another clean dry terry cloth. Rain water will bead and blow off too.
