Apparently American Muscle has a killer sale going on right now on wheels. I just picked up a set of 19x10 +45 offset MMD 551c silver wheels for next to nothing. I bought a set of 5mm spacers from them, but after doing some reading, the spacers they sell are apparently not hubcentric spacers, and that is what we apparently need. Why they would sell spacers that wont work, and recommend them for our cars is beyond me, but I will just return them when they arrive.

So, this leads me to my question. I have a 15 GT, stock ride height, with no intention to ever lower it. Roads are crap around me, and I have some gnarly speed bumps in my apartments, so its pretty much out of the question. I am wanting 285/40 19 tires, but options are pretty limited in that size, so I am looking at 275/40 19 instead. Can anyone let me know with those wheel specs and both tire sizes if I will NEED the spacers to avoid any rubbing issues? If you have that size wheels/tires, a photo would be fantastic just so I can get an idea of what they will look like. Thanks in advance.

You should be fine with spacers

There are lots of guys running a square 275 set on 10" wide wheels. That +45 offset is an issue but the spacers take that down to +40. Shouldn't be an issue, and some have even gone to 285. the 275/40 are only .4" taller that the stock size.

I've got all that down, I am just looking for confirmation if I will NEED the spacers for sure. And if so, are the spacers sold by American Muscle ok? They're not listed as "hubcentric" but they are listed on the site as working for our car. I can always return them if they wont work, but that means I need to buy the proper ones and have them on hand before I get tires and try to mount them, IF they're needed.

You bought them already,

Since you're going to have them in hand soon, a test fit will tell. But I'm pretty sure you will need the spacers. And Hubcentric is the only way to go.

Fitment has been really pushed in the thread on Aggressive fitment. And 19x10" +40 is not aggressive, but +45 should rub, at least in the front.

yes they will
I certainly appreciate your help. I think it goes a long way to speak to you as a person, and as a business, that you are willing to offer help to someone who didn't even buy the product from you. I will certainly keep that in mind for anything I may need in the future.

I too ordered some 19x10 +45 MMD wheels that I'm going to run square.

All I wanna know is if I put these on the front with the center cap fit without spacers??
