Why is my order still showing IN PROCESSING?

Also, still no VIN assigned. I ordered 5/27/14. I contact the dealer once a week and its usually "in a few weeks" they will show VIN, etc. Is this what you guys are seeing? Middle of Sept and I feel like it will be Jan with 2 foot of snow before its ready...

As frustrated as you...ordered 5/21 with priority 10 (alot of good that has done since no retail orders have been produced). Dealership said they didn't know that dealer stock orders were going to be produced first but at this point, there is nothing that can be done except to wait...and refresh the COTUS page. :frusty:

Thirty-six years ago at age 18, I ordered my first new Mustang: a red 1979 5.0 with 4-speed manual transmission. That was in September 1978 and it finally arrived 4 months later sometime in January 1979. For an 18 year old expecting his first new car, those weeks and months were painfully slow. But the car did finally arrive and it was worth the wait! Today, I'm waiting on Mustang #16 that I ordered on May 20 (and also the 16th Mustang I've special-ordered over the years). Amazingly, it's not any easier today checking off the weeks and months waiting for my car to arrive. But, like 1979 and all the rest, I'm confident the wait will be worth it. So, hang in there, guys.

I'm a 5/27 order as well. Still in Order Processing. I wouldn't bug your dealer about this every week, there isn't anything they can do about it. The orders will eventually go through but these dealer stock orders were first through the line. If anything, be glad that your car will probably have better fitting parts and less potential quality issues.

Thanks. Yeah, I expected comments about the wheels. They were first on the customize list to get replaced after I saved up enough money. Never did replace them, unfortunately, LOL.

Those tiny tires on rear would just boil. And back then, in 1979, that was before they had quad-shocks on the rear to help minimize axle-hop. Those tires would bounce! LOL.

Yeah one of the best things was that you could get almost any engine, tranny, interior, wheel, or pretty much any option combination just the way you wanted it..

I ordered on 5/20. It was a retail order, hence why we are still waiting. Things should pickup soon. Most of us are in the same boat. It is a great boat to be in, at least I think it is :ford:
