interesting discussion, are you guys new mustang fans or old fans who prefer the delete look. I've always felt the older muscle car crowd would prefer the more gawdy, super huge spoiler look.

but all things aside, it would totally suck if a buyer was ready to buy a in stock car at the dealership only to realize he has to order one just because he wanted the spoiler removed. That's what I don't get.

Because it looks like a tacked on after thought, it's not functional, adds weight, something else to wash and wax, it looks fugly....just my humble opinion.

@Foghat, my post sort of answers it, doesn't it? Why would you delete it? You would if it saves you having to take the sock one off (possibly damaging it) when you want to install your own.

Whenever I see a Mustang, Camaro or Challenger without a spoiler my first thought is "That looks so plain". Id never even consider getting a car without one..Love em. Though the stock one is a little on the small side for 2015.

I've been on the fence with this spoiler. Some angles the spoiler looks good and others it seems awkward. I will say this for sure the 2010-2014 S197 looks WAY better with the spoiler. Any 2010 - 2014 S197's without a spoiler look unfinished.

At least the 2015 looks good either way and I'm leaning towards preference without the spoiler. Tip of the cap for the designers for pulling off the lines "sans spoiler" if I do say so myself. Bravo.

It's the size of the most popular spoiler for any BMW M3 or M5. Or Mercedes C or E class for that matter.

Yep it does. That is definitely one reason to delete the factory spoiler

Yep, just like you really like blonds but are stuck with a redhead......
"Whooosh"

That is the sound of that one going right over my head. :)

I ordered my 2015 Mustang Convertible Base V6 with the upgraded 051A Package. Included the 18`` Foundry Wheels & Tires, Fog Lamps, Power Driver Seat (and) The "ugly" Blade Spoiler! I ordered it with the Spoiler Delete Option 13D. I would have paid (extra) to delete that ugly broken metal hockey stick handle. Like adding "Rhino Bars" on the headlamps and tail lamps of a SUV. Simply adds nothing to the Cars appearance and in poor taste if your over 25 years old.

I am grateful that Ford eliminated a spoiler on cars optioned with the Performance Package.
The car is such a handsome and clean design as is, and, as I've previously mentioned, such add-ons like a spoiler are in effect additions that are subtractions, aesthetically speaking.

Plus—there is the other factor of the ubiquitous presence of poseur cars trying to signal to the world with a stuck-on spoiler that they too are really a hot performance vehicle [such as in the case of the Toyota Corolla]:

I'm over 25, and I really like the "ugly broken metal hockey stick handle" spoiler on my EB. I just guess I have poor taste. :)

It's very subtle, and this is just my opinion, it doesn't distract from anything. But...... the car looks just as good without it.

What I don't like is pedal spoilers, like the one I had on my '07 GT. Different strokes I suppose.

Phil1336....Who are you exactly to decide what is in poor taste for anyone regardless of age? I'm 49 and I like the spoiler on the GT
