Sounds like you guys should get your money back...
I am trying to see if local performance shops can make me a custom tune for the car. If not I will be getting my money back for sure.

I am going to wait till I hear back from Torrie from Unleashed. If he confirms that they cant do it then I am definitely getting my money back. I knew this was going to be too good to be true.

I ordered an SCT x4 flash tuner with BAMA tunes from americanmuscle and when i received it, the tuner said my vehicle was not supported. I called customer support and they said that no tunes were available and that the tuner was useless to me.
Hey kodypiccirilli -

I'm really sorry about the inconvenience here! Can you please shoot me a Private Message with your order number and I'm happy to have a return set up for you for a 100% refund. I'm not entirely sure how this managed to be ordered as well because Bama has yet to advertise tunes for the V6 - When you placed the order was there any error message that had popped up, or did you screen freeze? Sorry about the trouble again but let me know how I can help out here!

Why did you buy it in the first place?

Spoke with a representative from Bama tuning today and this is what the guy said

"Hello
at the current moment we have no info about the tuning scenario for the V6 mustang of 2015. Due to the fact that the engine may be going away neither SCT or Diablosport have released any information to us as far as tuning strategies"

Idk fellas looks like we will still be waiting.......even longer then we have

Okay guys,
I spoke to Torrie from Unleashed tuning who's trying to work on some tunes for my v6, he said he's waiting on SCT to fix some errors on the template that he's running into, but no ETA, they have to fix these errors in order for him to proceed with the tune. Hopefully next week I can get another update.

It seems all the delay is coming from sct. I just hate that they don't have an ETA yet.

I also spoke with a local speed shop here in mississippi who work on mostly mustangs and he said he can work on a tune for the v6, and also has other tricks to increase the boost etc. but I am planning on waiting a little longer but if SCT doesn't come through soon then I have to pursue other options.

Objectively, our car is no different than any other car so you could dyno tune it whenever you want. It all comes down to cost effectiveness. Since we don't really have a date for flash tunes, i would go down the dyno tune road with a reputable race shop.

So what do these speed shops do differently to improve boost? The guy said something along the lines of using boostmax or soothing like that, I am not familiar with that and I looked it up online and couldn't really find anything.

What type of boost are you referring to? our cars are naturally aspirated hence there is no boost. Boost is present in forced induction cars (turbo, supercharger)

What a dyno tune could do is things like retard ignition timing, A/F ratio, cam timing and so on... Which is basically what you get from a flash tuner. The difference is dyno tuning is usually quite a lot more expensive than buying a flash tuner.

No worries. Keep in mind that if you do decide to dyno tune, you need to make sure you are giving your car in the hands of a skilled tuner that knows what he's doing. It's better to pay more than have a blown engine
