I empathize with you. Oftentimes when sharing our opinions, we have a tendency to do so at the expense of others, intentionally or not. It can be very easy to forget that doing so can upset someone, and I think that is what has happened here. I'm sure I've been guilty of doing just that in the past, and I try to be mindful of that now.

With that being said, that's the best advice I can offer you, especially when you're upset with others' way of expressing their opinions. No doubt, a couple comments weren't the nicest as it pertains to particular types of trucks. Some of them were likely made in jest, though. You certainly don't want to isolate yourself by allowing your frustration to take everyone down because of a few that weren't kidding. Bear in mind, Mustang owners commenting on the manhood of certain truck drivers is more ironic than hypocritical. A hypocrite would say how much they hate when people comment on the manhood of the owner of a certain type of vehicle, then proceed to make assumptions and comment on the manhood of another type of vehicle owner. Remember, you catch more flies with honey. It's already difficult enough to convince a bunch of strangers online to be more considerate of others' feelings. Coming after them in this manner won't make it any easier.

It is perfectly okay that some of the comments upset you, and I am sorry that they did. Just try to remember how that made you feel before responding. Otherwise, you could become exactly the person you say you hate, which doesn't help anything.
I am not upset, I own/drive what I like. My tires don't poke like that, but I don't judge other men if they do like that particular look.

I guess what I was trying to say was that I don't expect to read comments like that on a car forum like this.

Men questioning other's manhood based on what they drive being ironic does seem to be a better word than hypocritical.

I did not express my thoughts well, I wasn't going to reply in this thread anymore, not because I am upset, but because I didn't want to dig myself any deeper. Lol.

Your post is kind, and I appreciate the thoughts.
