So I installed my shifter today by the book came out good like it pretty easy install just need to be mindful to put something down in case you drop the screws and use a magnetized stubby phillipshead ...

However, this is what I did notice in all of the install videos it says be careful to unsnap the wire under the boot collar when taking out, show wire, shows connection.

Well my car 2021 Mach1 Tech Pack, HP pack had NO CLIP - NO WIRE not sure why but not... there was no connection for a clip or wire period.

Anyone car to comment - ?

You have No wire to unplug because that gear select does not light up .my 2015 did light up ,but I believe after 2018 they no longer did .

I really want to do a shifter from those guys but I am so afraid to do it myself. I used to work on all my cars but now I don’t touch them.

This. There is no clip after 2018. Makes the shifter install MUCH easier. I did it too and it was super simple.

When my car arrives, this is one of the first things I will change. It is a cleaner look than the factory shifter.

So I am looking at doing this to my A10 shifter as well just not sure which one yet. Will be from WM, just not sure of details.
From the pictures in this thread it looks like the OP (white) has standard shaft length with black shaft.
But then I look at other post of blue shift knob, it has the chrome shaft but kind of looks like the short shaft?
Might be the angle of the pictures or something with the shift boots, but something seems different and trying to figure out exactly what I want to order.

Also, I was planning on doing the orange ball with Mach 1 on the top with black lettering, Has anyone done additional engravings on the side or if that too busy with all of that together?

Appreciate any info or straighten my out if my thinking is flawed.

Looks great Snakeeyes!
For me the hardest part was prying off the plastic Bezel, I thought for sure I ws going to break a clip.

Yes, they make two different sizes for the shafts, along with different finishes. I think the first one on the site is a one piece design with the ball mounted to the shaft and the second one you have the option to replace the shift balls.

These guys will do custom shift balls as well. Just contact them and tell them what you want. I even traided in my old WM balls and shifter for a new one. These guys are the best and will have my business again and again.
