Paxton with Steeda Motor Mounts

I am in the middle of my Paxton install and when I mocked it up, the blower sits too low to install intake. I am attributing this to the motor mounts making the engine sit lower though I had it set to what I thought was stock height. Has anyone else run into this issue?

Dont run an intake, run a turbo screen, you’ll gain a pound of boost by doing so.

Did you use all the spacers that came with the mounts?

Yes I did. Still sits low.

Run a stubby filter directly on the blower. Spectre makes one and K and N makes one that will fit. I have the spectre on my car - stock motor mounts but plenty of clearance. K and N was a bit longer and would require more trimming on the radiator shroud. You want to avoid at all costs any of the chosen intake from contacting the radiator and hoses as you likely would get false knock readings. Good luck!

Thanks for input. I ended up putting stock motor mounts in. I found I was missing a spacer on steeda ones somehow. Might have been when I took them out last time I removed headers. Sits fine now. May still go stubby filter in future especially if I get replacement spacers and it doesn't clear intake tube.
