Hey guys, so I am looking into getting headers here soon. I know the popular choice is Kooks but they are a bit out of my price range. Just curious what other people's setups are with a Whipple. Thoughts on the setup you have, what was your power increase, if you got sound videos please share. If you have a Whipple tune do you have a CEL? And anything else you think I should know. Thanks again.

Running stainless power catless with corsa sport. Power increase was definitely noticeable. Cel is on. Running the most current Whipple tune and 72# injectors. Sound is effing loud but I love it! Plenty of gurgles and pops. The Whipple whine is barely heard now... Maybe near redline it's there but only with the windows up.

I ran these headers with magnaflow competition and street and the drone was insane. Corsa sport took that away 100% and made it sound so much better overall.

I have arh 1 7/8 with their high flow cats. I've gotten a cel 1 or 2 times. This last time I have Octanium in the car. I clear it and it takes quite awhile to come back. Car is not that loud with mrt catback.

Do you have an enclosed air box? When I dropped from the 3.75 to 3.625 the whine was much more noticeable. Car screams now.

Are you adding octanium to 93 octane or 91? I am curious if adding octanium to 93 will make any difference. My friend just did it and he says the car feels faster but I didn't really see the difference on the dyno we went to.

Here is my Whipple Stage 2 setup. Running the Whipple tune. Kooks 1 7/8 LTH with high flow cats and o2 foulers(no CEL yet), FRPP X-Pipe, and Vibrant bullet resonators before the FRPP Touring mufflers. I'm replacing my X-pipe with a Borla resonator for a stealthier sound. This setup is great, no drone at all.

Closed airbox and 3.75"

I used to have the open filter set up...makes no difference

I used to always hear the whine until headers....they are just too loud.

I need to try the 3.625 and 10 rib

I have been running octanium and 91 for a few months. The car definitely adapts and gets faster. adding it to 93 absolutely makes a difference

Does the borla resonator fit on the FRPP catback? I've thought about trying this to tone down the rasp I get in high rpms.

To the OP, I put SW catless headers on before the the whipple and made 445 rwhp with a dyno tune. When I added the whipple, 3.75, big TB, and id1000s it jumped up to 686 rwhp. I need to pulley down and try to get over 700 :headbang:

So is there not a way for the Whipple tune to turn off the rear o2 sensors to prevent a cel from showing up when not running cats?

Yes the resonator fits. There's a few out there running the setup. Here's a video for reference with catted SW headers on a NA Coyote.

And another with Kooks Green catted headers and Whipple Stage 2 kit.

As far as I know Whipple's cal is set for stock headers with all o2s enabled. The o2 foulers work fine for mine and several others. No CELs at all and the car runs great!

Where did you get your foulers from? I saw some online for like $30.
