No, that would require a new fuel system and significant cal time to do the cal for a limited amount of vehicles. Our investment into cal's is far greater than most, as cals are developed with Ford cal tools, labs and custom software. It would be if it was only for our customers, but it quickly finds its ways into other hands and all that work/money/time goes directly to making our competitors better, losing what/is a competitive advantage. For what it helps, it also hinders.
But it also gives us 6-months to 1-year head start on the competition. As for your brothers truck, we are working on the issue. Its an isolated issue on 3 vehicles in 1st gear, 2wd mode only. As for mileage, that is based on driving style. Also, since the IMRC valves are removed, idle is raised 50-100rpm, it is impossible to keep stock mileage in the city. Since shifting is more aggressive, more spirited down shifting, the mileage also suffers. At steady throttle, highway speeds, the mileage is rarely effected. Its a give and take. The more aggressive you are, the more fuel it requires. If we let it shift to 6th gear by 35mph and never down shift except for WOT like stock, then mileage would increase significantly.The downside is it leaves you and only you for support when things aren't right. Aka, my brothers f150 that doesn't go to 100% throttle and gets 4-5 mpg worse than stock and all he can do is wait for yall to sort it out.
No way of doing it is perfect. They all have advantages and disadvantages.

Timing varies as well as rpm. Sounds like a massive air leak really. Try getting one to idle at 500 and let me know how successful you are without stalling during city driving.Idling at negative 11 degrees of time at 170 rpm higher (not 50-100) doesn't exactly make things more efficient though.

We offer the most powerful 50-state, emission legal calibration that has the most extensive testing and incredible results. That's always been our goal. We have to package the cal to be legal.
Guys that want E85, built motors, cam's, etc. or different things then our cal go the custom route.
It certainly would be an interesting market study, comparing the age old argument of open source vs closed course, but from the research we have done, its a fine line and a balance.
