No worries my man.

I have this strange drive (I think it's strange because I don't see it from others much) to tell it like it is. Sometimes that hurts my sales because I tell people what I have does not meet their goals. But I can sleep at night knowing I didn't steer someone in the wrong direction.

From a business standpoint it is not the smartest policy. From a personal standpoint I can't do it any other way.

There is a lot of smoke & mirrors, half truths and flat out lies in this business. I refuse to be part of it.
Kudos to you. I busted your balls right when you joined for that "truth" speak. I have come to the conclusion you have a ton of knowledge and expertise. Great reading your insight and truth. Keep it up:cheers:

Lol, yeah, that pretty much covers it. I will have a hard time hidding all of those parts from my wife. I will just tell her to not worry about it.

I catch a lot of flack for "pulling back the curtain". It doesn't make sense to me. Maybe people just don't like bad news.

Thanks for your support.

I distract my wife with flowers and Victoria's Secret gift cards. Works like a charm!:clap2:

People can't handle the truth.

I can't wait to feel that PD power. I have always had cars with turbos and grew tired of the lag.

My wife has gotten use to that over the years. Now she makes me take her on vacations whenever I buy parts.

Just keep in mind that telling someone THAT they are wrong will tend to make them defensive and ignore you. Showing someone WHY they are wrong will usually get them to understand and agree with you. It's a subtle difference, but an important one.

Some choice suspension mods help a lot. As do good 315mm wide tires.

With a car that I have since sold (2010 GT) that had 450/450 it would haze the tires a bit in 1st and all but dead hook 2nd on 315mm Invo's. And I make HARD shifts.

My buddies 2006 GT with 700 will haze them in 1st and dead hook 2nd running 305 NT05R Drag Radials.

My 2007 GT with 1000 will haze the tires all the way through 120mph with 315mm Toyo R888's. But that is to be expected with a roadrace tire and that much power. It's a blast to drive.

All true^^^^^

The problem that I find is I can dish up all sorts of facts backed up with real world experience and they still don't want to hear it.

You might be surprised.

No doubt you lose some sales, but you are probably picking up sales that you may not have had otherwise due to word of mouth. And also from that guy who didin't buy on day 1, but came back at a later date cause he was impressed with the honesty.

I will never forget the time I brought my wife's xterra to Brake Check to get the brakes done. It had something like 40,000km on it, I figured it was due. The guy told me flat out brakes were fine and to come back in about a year for another look.

Guess what? I did and he got the sale then. And the one after that and then the one after, well then I started doing my own. :)

I'm just curious because my 2011 had 640rwhp and I couldn't hook worth a crap on a 305 dr. Gettting the power to the ground will be my main goal wth this car that's why I'm not too concerned with huge hp #s. Any advice is welcome.

Hard to say what suspension mods will be needed on the S550 at this point. At a minimum I would say a complete bushing kit for the suspension and rear subframe. Some good dampers. And lots of tire!

What pressure did you run your DR's at?
