The impressive part for me is how much it didn't want to quit, power was climbing all the way past 7,250RPM

Good on ya Man! Thats great news. I applaud you pulling the hammer. I'm close but still waitind a little longer. I knew a once I read the Ford/Roush install proceedure and the chopping of the K-Brace, I was out for that one. I was in the same boat as you wanting the Ford install/warranty deal.

The reason that I'm holding off a bit on the whipple is I'm waiting to see what the air intake and air box will look like. I've emailed Whipple and they said in a few months the'd have them to show on the web site.

I still don't know if its an open or closed air system. Do you happen to know?

Do you have any idea if the instructions are detailed like the Ford/Roush manual was, inregards to the wire and hose connections?

Do you know if it will require the front end to come off like previously?

Lastly...are you pinned to a Whipple tune with there SC or can you still get a VMP, Ford/Roush, Lund ect tune?

The complete dyno graph is shown beginning at 0:15 in the video below.

Actually, I believe that was earlier dyno run. I'm sure the torque would be similar.

Completely Stock 2015 Mustang GT with the Whipple 2.9L Supercharger at 11psi, on 91 Octane, with manual transmission...

Holy heck...664RWHP with 91 octane and 11PSI.

So realistically, 8psi would net 580-600RWHP. That is freaking crazy running that low of boost putting out that kind of power and an engine that would live a long happy life.

As of now I believe it's an open design air box. I've heard they are working on a closed system as well

Instructions for my 05' kit were awesome. In color and easy enough to follow. Almost 200 steps!

I would definitely bet in the front clip coming off. It had to on my 05

You are not pinned to a Whipple tune. As a matter of fact for my 05 kit I got the "tuner" kit (comes without handheld or tune) and I took it to Dez racing in Seekonk, MA and he custom tuned it on the dyno. Dez sent me a generic tune to load via a SCT just to get me there and then he custom tuned it.

You could get the Whipple tune and in the future get a custom one from a local shop

Dang it! Not trying to cause any alarms here but...

I was looking at the Whipple Youtube video posted by Vernichtung and if you look closely, the K-Brace is missing on the left side of the motor. You can see it though on the right. What the heck?

On the Ford /Roush SC, i can see why because of the intake tube running to the back. But why on the Whipple? I hope I'm wrong! Take a look and tell me what you think.

I'd sure like to see the install manual for the Whipple before I order.

You're right, it is missing. Here is a pic of my engine bay and you can clearly see it on the right.

This does suck if this is indeed the case for the production units:shrug:

Yes Sir! That would really SUCK!

What is the deal with the K-Brace?

Here's a pic of my engine with the sound tube removed. K-Brace clearly shown.
