Here are some pictures from the Whipple kit.

[emoji115] Whipple fuel rails. Most people don't know that these are included with the SC kit

[emoji115]These are of the heat exchanger with optional fan kit. You can see the thickness and overall dimensions of it. It's pretty nice.

Such a shame that gorgeous tank needs to be hidden from view, but damn what a nice and complete kit! Much nicer than the 2.9L I installed on my 2011.

I really like the dual fan heat exchanger as well. The fuel rails are an added plus!

Keep up with the Whipple porn! Pretty sure you guys have helped solidify my decision.

I agree it's a shame it will not be seen but it will sure keep the clutter down under the hood keeping the focus on the beautiful blower front and center. Plus the fluid should benefit not being in the hot engine compartment. Another plus if you ask me.

I have to say, as I continue to do a complete inventory of all parts in kit, what an amazing job Whipple has done on this kit. Although some have chosen to go with other kits based on price, this kit is worth every penny!! To anyone who is on the fence, this kit is absolutely top notch!

Got my pre SC Dyno today :)

Can someone help me figure out my drivetrain % loss so I can figure out my crank levels from the post SC dyno I'll get later on?

Thanks,

Jaime

Ignore the percentage and look at the number itself. You will have the same transmission and rear end after the SC install... therefore the same ~50HP will be required to drive those components. With frictional losses being the only thing increasing with power, you will be far more accurate to just add in the 50hp than to go overboard and add in a percentage.

I should note that while the SC is being installed I'm having them switch from 3.73 to 3.31 gears. This shouldn't change that formula, should it?

Will it change the torque at all?

Thank you for your help,

Jaime

The dynamometer accounts for gearing as it does its best to display to you flywheel power minus drivetrain losses. Meaning, you are getting engine power measured at the wheels, not true wheel power. This is why your dyno graph doesnt say like 4000HP if you do a first gear pull.

The only reason it will change readings after changing your final drive ratio is due to whatever changes in frictional losses. Which I would estimate to be just about negligible... but I have never dyno'd same day before-and-after rear end change to gauge what to expect.

Is anyone aware of an install video similar to those floating around for the FRPP/Roush?
