Whipple questions

I've looked through a lot of threads on here but still have a couple questions.

I'm looking at purchasing a Whipple kit in the next few weeks. I'm going to add the fans, TB, the Whipple tune, and possibly the Whipple warranty.

1.Should I purchase the kit directly from Whipple or from a vendor?

2. If a vendor, which one (if there's any difference between them)

3. If I decide to have it installed about how much should I expect to pay for the install?

I'm about an hour south of Atlanta......

4.Any recommendations for vendors or shops for the install in the Atlanta area? Don't care for injected engineering, if that's a suggestion, they're way over priced imo.

If you want their warranty you will need to have it installed by a certified installer. Any shop will not do they have to be set up with Whipple. I found best install deal by purchasing SC through installer, they gave me a good price on the kit.

As far as price you will need to check your area.

I am having tho exact Setuo installed now with Whipples warranty in Baton Rouge.

I would purchase through hypermotive. They will give you a good price. Just call them. Atlanta chassis dyno close to u? I think they were around 9500 for whipple kit installed with tb and fans.

I would jump all over that. Just paid about $1000 more for same deal with Whipple warranty included.

you probably got a similar deal. I was not going to get the warranty and I got the quote before the 200 dollar flash tool was available. so if you got those two items then pricing probably close.

I'm digging everything I've read about hypermotive but it's just the distance. If this wasn't my dd I wouldn't hesitate dropping it off. Idk I'll probably just take it up there and grab a hotel for a night lol

I think people were just saying buy the kit from hypermotive not driving there for install as well. In ga I prefer to buy the parts myself because we don't pay sales tax from a online vendor.

Another question.......Let's say I delete the cats before the whipple gets installed. Can the whipple tune/flash tool account for this or would I then need to have a custom tune at that point?

I think whipple suggested they like to at least have high flow cats for monitoring. They did a recent tune revision but not sure if that affects your answer.
